When Gilligan first approached Seehorn about Pluribus, he told her he had written a role specifically for her but wasn’t ready to share the script yet. Despite not seeing the material, the actor immediately agreed to take on the part, trusting his vision and their long-standing professional relationship.

She said that at first she didn’t believe him or thought that he was just exaggerating. However, shortly after, she realized that, including their time together on Better Call Saul, they had been working together for over a decade. She mentioned that it was a lot to take in.
Seehorn added that having a role specifically written for her by one of the most celebrated writers of her generation was overwhelming in a positive way. She says she’s still processing the fact that Gilligan trusted her enough to create something just for her.
[Gilligan said] ‘we’ve been working together for 10 years.’ And I was like, ‘No, we haven’t.’ Then, I did the math because of Better Call Saul, and it has been that long. And for somebody who I think is one of the best writers, television writers, probably just writers of all time in our generation, to say that they want to create a role for me — that’s a lot. I’m still working on taking that one in.
