Pokemon Add Us On Here is a fact-based summary of the story contents:
One of the pillars of Pokemon’s massive success has been synergy. Between its video games, its trading cards, its movies, and more, if you love one, you almost definitely at least dabble with a few others. Plushes are a big part of Pokemon’s synergy too, which is why just three months after appearing in its first game, Mega Dragonite already has one.
The Pokemon Company revealed its first-ever Mega Dragonite plush this week (thanks, Pokeshopper). It will be released at the Japanese Pokemon Center in Japan on February 14, 2026, so the perfect Valentine’s Day present for the Pokemon fan in your life. Provided you live in Japan, and as long as the Pokemon fan in your life isn’t one of the many who spearheaded a hate campaign against poor Dragonite when its Mega Evolution was revealed.
The plush will almost certainly get a worldwide release in due course.
Pokemon Reveals Its First-Ever Mega Dragonite Plush
The exact dimensions of the plush haven’t been revealed, but it appears to be a standard Pokemon plush, so will likely be around 15 inches tall. Much like Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dragonite, the only thing that sets the Mega Evolved Pokemon apart from regular Dragonite appearance wise are the striking white wings on its head and the colorful orb on its tail.

While some Mega Evolutions already have matching plushes — a range of new and re-released toys was rolled out ahead of Legends: Z-A’s launch — Mega Dragonite is the first of the new additions to get the plush treatment. That makes sense, as Mega Dragonite was the first new Mega Evolution that debuted in Legends: Z-A to be revealed.
Mega Starmie Plush Next, Please
It almost feels like a lifetime ago now as we not only have the game, but also its Mega Dimension DLC, but the reveal of Legends: Z-A’s first new Mega Evolution didn’t go down too well. Pokemon fans were largely unimpressed with Mega Dragonite’s design, as, in their defense, it’s not exactly all that inspired.
It really is not much more than Dragonite with wings on its head, and it already has wings on its back. Like your gran putting glasses on when she forgets she already has some resting on her head.
It does feel a little like Mega Starmie has helped turn people’s opinion on Mega Dragonite. On paper, Mega Starmie’s design is even less inspired than Mega Draongite’s. It doesn’t have any extras added to it; Pokemon just made two of its appendages longer so that it had long legs to run around on. After everyone fell in love with it and voted it their favorite new Mega Evolution from Legends: Z-A, perhaps they went back and realized they judged Mega Dragonite too harshly.
