Pokémon has teamed up with The Hershey Company for a sweet special-edition release — literally. Fans will be able to collect their favorite characters wrapped in collectible Pokémon foils on Hershey’s Kisses.
The launch of the collectible chocolates includes 151 unique foil designs inspired by the original Kanto region Pokémon. Select chocolate sold by Hershey’s will allow fans of all ages to collect their favorite monsters with each unwrapping. The Hershey’s x Pokémon chocolates will be available in 10.1 oz and 34.1 oz bags at retailers nationwide, for a limited time only.

In addition to selling the specially wrapped Hershey’s kisses, the collaboration will also allow fans to claim a free limited-edition collector’s case. Available on Hershey’s official website, the case includes a spot for all 151 designs, allowing fans to display and organize the Pokémon they’ve found. No purchase is necessary, but the collector’s cases will only be available while supplies last.
The Pokémon Hershey’s Kisses packaging art comes with a design resembling a Poké Ball, with Pikachu on the front. It also showcases what the foil candy designs look like, letting fans see some of the Pokémon they can potentially collect with their purchase, including Mewtwo, Growlithe, Jigglypuff and more. Hershey’s also teases that fans will be able to track which Pokémon they’ve added to their chocolate collection online. The digital collection for the collaboration allows fans to unlock shareable certificates and follow their progress throughout the summer as they try to hunt down all the original Pokémon from the Kanto region. To track their collection online, interested parties will need to create an account with The Hershey Company. They can toggle each of the 151 original Pokémon as they find them.
In addition to the special foil Hershey’s Kisses, other Pokémon chocolate items available will include Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars with special packaging featuring the starter Pokémon Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu and Charmander on the outer packaging. The individual packaging for the snack-sized candy bars inside features 18 unique designs, with packaging showcasing other Pokémon favorites like Vaporeon, Charizard, Venosaur and Raichu.
The Hershey’s Kisses x Pokémon collaboration gives veteran fans and new collectors alike a way to go on a chocolate-filled journey with some of their favorite Pokémon. The Kanto region was introduced in Generation I of the franchise, and it’s home to some of the most recognizable and iconic Pokémon of all time. Long-time favorites like Dragonite, Lapras, Gengar, Snorlax and of course, Pikachu are all from Kanto, and now, Pokémon fans will be able to unwrap them in a new way inside bags of Hershey’s Kisses.
