The Pokémon Trading Card Game has finally revealed when players can expect the release of their first English Mega Evolution set. While we still have no official name for this English Mega Evolution Set launching on September 26th, we do know that it will be based on Japan’s Mega sets, Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia, which are releasing a month earlier, on August 1st, 2025. Although the set list has not been revealed for those sets either, we do know that they will be based around Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir.
At the moment, Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir are the only cards we can likely confirm for the English Mega Evolution set as well, but we should expect more reveals in the coming weeks, especially as hype continues to build around Pokémon Legends Z-A’s release, the upcoming game that is also focused on Mega Evolutions. This is also the same news we received regarding Black Bolt & White Flare‘s releases, so while predictable, it does continue to spark a bit of panic among those hoping to acquire these sets.
According to PokeBeach, however, The Pokémon Company International has made an effort to console Pokémon TCG collectors that «this won’t necessarily be the case for future events,» as they hope to catch up on the new sets soon ing their recent widespread restocks. For now, however, that just means pre-orders are even more valuable and not something you should take lightly if you don’t want to risk paying scalper prices or waiting several months for a potential restock of this upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game set.
