Fresh footage from a police officer’s bodycam reveals the moment that Alan Ritchson defended himself during questioning over his viral fight with his Tennessee neighbor, and claimed Ronnie Taylor was drunk at the time.

Footage of the incident captured by another resident first circulated on social media showing Ritchson beating Taylor on the ground. However, a short while later, the full video from Ritchson’s own bodycam showed the extent of the fight, proving that Taylor instigated the scuffle by shoving the star from his motorbike.

Taylor, a British expat living in Tennessee, admitted to starting the fight but said he dropped charges against Ritchson because he has “zero interest” in going to court and “didn’t even lawyer up” over the situation.

Now, bodycam footage captured by the authorities when speaking to Ritchson shows how the Reacher star was upfront about the entire fight right from the start, and claimed that Taylor was drunk.

The footage of Alan Ritchson talking to the police comes from the Law&Crime Network on YouTube, and shows the officers talking to the star the day after the incident took place.

The Reacher actor was understandably hesitant to speak to the authorities without his attorney present, because his life “is very high stakes, very public.” But he eventually discussed the incident, and claimed that Taylor was drunk when he showed the officers the full footage he recorded on his bodycam.

“You also need to do a toxicology report, he smells like alcohol,” the star said, adding “I would like a toxicology report pulled on that dude. That’s a part of this. Him being drunk wouldn’t have anything to do with this?”

The officer responded saying that they don’t do toxicology reports for “public intox,” but that Taylor was being medically assessed due to the injuries he sustained as a result of the fight.

The video also included footage of Taylor speaking to the police, in which he says “Yeah I had a drink while watching the soccer today, in my house!” He later explained that he wanted to press charges because Ritchson “kicked the s**t out of me.”

Ritchson also questioned what he was supposed to do with the video evidence he had of the fight which shows Taylor starting the incident.

“In a situation like this which, I’m sure looks bad for me, but is self-defence and he’s gonna claim whatever… He’s obviously a liar, he said I hit him on the bike… He’s obviously the aggressor here in my opinion. Do I just sit and wait? Do I file something with my attorney or, what happens? What do I do to protect myself here?”

The officer instructs him to submit the video to the detectives so they can see both sides of the incident. The Brentwood police later cleared Ritchson and stated that he acted in self-defense.

Aside from updating fans on his “crazy week” by confirming that he’s finished work on Reacher Season 4, Ritchson hasn’t openly discussed the fight online.

Cat Ritchson, who is married to the star, jokingly asked on Instagram if she had missed anything after having a digital detox — and the actor commented: “Who’s gonna tell her..?” But the actor hasn’t publicly commented on the way the incident unfolded.
