In the last season, pretty much the entire cast ended up on the same vacation. The worst element in that trip was Mami, ex-girlfriend of Kazuya. She tried to manipulate Chizuru, saying how Kazuya is being unfair to her, because she doesn’t want Kazuya and Chizuru to meet anymore.

However, it was when everything was close to getting out of hand that Mami told Chizuru to finally clear the lie that they’ve been telling Kazuya’s grandmother. Confused, Chizuru was taking her time to think. Meanwhile, Kazuya had decided that he would confess to Chizuru in order to turn the fake girlfriend into a real one.

After multiple failed confessions, something that is a trend even in the manga, Kazuya failed once more. At the end of Season 4, we saw Mami offering to rent Chizuru and clear the lies once and for all. In the upcoming season, we will see what the reaction of Chizuru will be and how Kazuya will handle this entire situation. In Season 5, we will see the conclusion of the Hawaii Trip Arc.

Who Are the Voice Actors for Rent a Girlfriend Season 5?

For the primary cast, the voice actors remain unchanged. Sora Amamiya is voicing Chizuru. Sora Amamiya is also known for her role as Akame in Akame Ga Kill and Touka Kirishima in Tokyo Ghoul. Furthermore, Shun Horie is returning to voice Kazuya.

The trailer starts with an internal monologue of Kazuya. He mentions that he had no idea that his life full of lies about rental girlfriends was coming to an end. It implies that there will be a key moment in the season when everyone, or at least a key character, would find out about the fact that Chizuru is Kazuya’s rental girlfriend.

Furthermore, it is clear from the trailer that while the truth will be out, the relationship between Kazuya and Chizuru is taking positive turns as well – as they are clearly kissing in the trailer. The trailer also showed how Mami is basically detached from everything, through her own internal monologue.
