Being that bad at parking is another level of skill

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: there’s never a middle ground when it comes to drivers, and that goes for any place in this country. You either get some pretty good, respectful drivers or terrible ones who lack common sense in everything they do. To illustrate our point, one Redditor from Seattle, Washington, shared a picture of their coworkers, all with large trucks, who had poor parking skills and blocked the only path for pedestrians. But that’s not the worst part. Besides the drivers’ poor parking skills, the way they parked their vehicles has created a hazard to people, especially to everyone’s shins.

The picture that says more than a thousand words shows several trucks parked outside of what seems to be the OP’s workplace. While every company is entitled to designate parking spots for workers, the way all these Washington truck drivers park is beyond frustrating, especially for those who walk through that area; it’s like a new skill.
According to OP, there’s only one pedestrian designated area. However, drivers didn’t care about this as they all parked their trucks over the curb. Many of the trucks in the picture are taking up this precious walking space, and that’s not all; they are creating a hazard for anyone who walks through this truck-riddled path.
Many Redditors saw this, and while some just shamed the drivers, others raised valid concerns.
“This stuff always pisses me off. Anything that obstructs sidewalk space is more than mildly infuriating (to me). It makes getting places difficult or nearly impossible for anyone in a wheelchair and could be hazardous for the visually impaired.” – Buff_brat via Reddit.
The above user hit the nail on the head. These trucks are blocking the path for many people who might need more space to move around, such as wheelchair users. Yet, those with visual impairments are also affected, as these trucks would just make moving through this space worse for them.
Besides that, some people also think this is dangerous for people who might not notice the cargo bed.
“RIP someone’s shins.” – PogonBerserker via Reddit.
“My shins are throbbing just looking at this.” – Tendonut via Reddit.
Many also claim that truck drivers remain a “plague” to many Americans, and we kind of agree. Often, they don’t respect parking spaces or take up even more space than needed. If you dare approach them, they’ll just lash out at you and go full Karen mode.
We don’t think it will happen, but we hope this picture raises awareness at the OP’s workplace and encourages drivers to leave a bit more space for others to walk. It seems weird that situations like this happen so often in the country, but as we said, there’s never any middle ground with drivers, especially truck drivers.
