Roku, the maker of several highly popular smart television sets, streaming boxes, and the Roku OS itself, has officially unveiled its next-generation TV lineup for 2025. Specifically, the company’s new hardware consists of the Roku Select, the Roku Plus, and the Roku Pro Series, all of which are available now for purchase in the US.
“Since launching our first Roku-made TVs two years ago, we’ve focused on creating products that marry our easy-to-use software with thoughtfully designed hardware to give our customers the best possible experience—something simple that both looks and sounds great. Our 2025 lineup furthers that commitment with performance upgrades and intelligent features designed to take the guess work out of getting the best picture and sound, no matter what you’re watching,» says Paul Nangeroni, Senior Director of Product Management at Roku.
These all-new Roku smart televisions are available in several size configurations, with the Select Series ranging from 24-inches all the way up to 85-inches of diagonal screen real estate. This entry-level model is available in a choice of basic HD, FHD, or 4K resolution SKUs, with pricing beginning at $130. This makes the Select a potentially excellent gateway into the world of Roku-powered content streaming.
The Plus and Pro Series models, meanwhile, are available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes, and they ship with more premium display hardware across the board. Regardless of which Series model you spring for, you’ll get built-in Dolby Audio support — all 4K resolution models come with HDR10+ support out of the box, in addition to expandable wireless surround sound compatibility.

The company is focusing on improving picture quality across its new TV lineup
With the higher-end Pro Series models in particular, Roku is focusing on improving picture quality via a set of hardware and software optimizations. The Pro Series features a next-generation Roku Smart Picture Max image processing suite, which adjusts the on-screen picture on a scene-by-scene basis for «improving motion clarity, correcting compression artifacts, and intelligently selecting the best picture mode for the content on screen.»
A re-engineered mini-LED backlight is designed to minimize the unsightly bloom effect seen on many traditional LCD-based TV panels, while the 75 percent higher dynamic contrast over the previous-generation model should result in more lifelike imagery. Other notable hardware specifications on the Pro Series include a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision IQ, Roku Soundstage Audio via Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and more.
While the middle-of-the-pack Plus Series TVs for 2025 aren’t quite as feature-complete as the Pro models in the hardware department, Roku has implemented its Smart Picture Max feature, as well as enhanced colors and bespoke mini-LED backlighting tuning. This latter addition of mini-LED backlighting is a noteworthy step-up over its predecessor’s standard LED solution, allowing for more granular control over display brightness.

Roku is also highlighting several Series-wide improvements that it has integrated into its 2025 smart TV lineup. These include new Roku TV software features like Daily Trivia, sports highlights, game-time mobile notifications, content discoverability improvements, as well as a new Bluetooth Headphone Mode for individual private content enjoyment.
Elsewhere, simplified cable management, clearly labeled A/V ports, and a dedicated TV location placement guide for the Pro Series and Select Series (65-inches and above) are quality-of-life additions that should hopefully streamline the purchase and setup process as a whole. Lastly, Roku also says that all 2025 models, including the entry-level Select Series, feel snappier and more responsive due to various software and hardware refinements.
