Rumored GTA 6 gameplay leak surfaces and its the most boring one yet

An apparent fresh Grand Theft Auto 6 leak has surfaced after it was ‘lost’ on a phone for four years, but it might just be the most boring leak to date.

For Grand Theft Auto fans, leaks about GTA 6 are rarely inconsequential. They can dig out plenty of info from something as small as a blueprint map on a table, or a blurry screenshot of a radar tower.

Over the last few years, there have been a number of leaks about Grand Theft Auto 6 and what Rockstar Games has in store for fans. Some of these have given us key details, such as the fact that we’ll be returning to Vice City and have two characters to play as. Others, however, have just revealed parts of the soundtrack.

The biggest leaks came back in 2022, when a whole host of gameplay tester footage surfaced, showing off features like robbing stores, some of the weapons, and NPC voice lines. Now, an apparent new leak has appeared online that had been ‘lost’ from those massive leaks.

Rumored GTA 6 leak surfaces, and its just a bridge

Instagram user Vice City Alligator posted the short clip on March 2, which has some of the hallmarks of those 2022 leaks. However, it isn’t as exciting, seeing as it shows off a car passing over a bridge.

“Know a bloke who used to work at R*. They sent me this about two months before the 2022 leaks happened. Been sat on it for ages, but since they don’t work there anymore, figured I’d drop it,” they posted.

“Tbh it literally shows nothing, just asked them to show me a spot they were proud of working on. Quality is absolute shite though cuz they sent it via email (had to compress it). Never thought I’d actually post it cuz its a nothingburger.”

Vice City Alligator claimed that the dev had recorded it straight from their setup during lockdown, and had kept it on a phone for four years. Many users have poked fun at the performance of the game in the clip, while others have cast doubt on its legitimacy.

“GTA 6 frames per second lmao,” one said. “Debug logs on the bottom aren’t accurate, so this leak is fake,” another said.

The debug logs are typically a sure sign of a fake, however, it’s hard to tell on this one given the quality of the video.

Other users noted that, if it is real, it shows off even more depth within the GTA 6 map, and confirms one other leak, which is that rentable bikes appear to be a thing.

There have been some ‘leaks’ around GTA 6 that use gameplay footage from the likes of Watch Dogs to try and bamboozle fans, but this one doesn’t have anything obviously pulled from a separate game.

Rockstar have reportedly even spread fake leaks to try and catch staff out.
