Severance Fan Favorite Britt Lower Joins Jamie Lee Curtis in New Horror Movie

After the recent announcement that Severance star Britt Lower would lead the cast for a new Netflix prison break series, the rising star has lined up yet another project, this time teaming with legendary actress Jamie Lee Curtis on a new horror film.

Per Deadline, Lower is set to lead the cast of Sender, a psychological horror film from Russell Goldman, who makes his feature directorial debut with the movie. The horror flick is based on Goldman’s 2022 short film Return to Sender. Lower will star alongside David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil, The Suicide Squad), Anna Baryshnikov (Manchester by the Sea, Love Lies Bleeding), and Curtis (Halloween, Everything Everywhere All at Once). Per the official logline, Sender follows «a woman (Lower) who experiences an e-commerce package delivery scam that becomes so personal and disturbing that she becomes hellbent on discovering the identity of her anonymous sender.»

In addition to starring in the film, Curtis serves as a producer alongside Molly Hallam and Jake Katofsky, while Lower is an executive producer. In an official statement, Curtis expressed her enthusiasm about teaming with Goldman for his feature directorial debut, touting him as an «exciting» new filmmaker. «I am so proud to be a part of Russell’s first movie, the first of many,» Curtis told Deadline. «The little seed that Comet Pictures planted has now grown into a feature filled with talented artists surrounding a new and exciting filmmaker.» Sender is currently in production, but there is no official release date for the film yet.

Britt Lower Teams With Sam Worthington in Netflix's I Will Find You

Lower, who stars as Helly R./Helena Eagan in the Apple TV+ series Severance, is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix series I Will Find You alongside Sam Worthington. The series is based on Harlan Coben’s novel of the same name and is being adapted by Robert Hull, best known as a producer for Gotham and Once Upon a Time. Lower and Worthington will be joined in the series by Milo Ventimiglia, Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Jonathan Tucker, and Chi McBride. There is no official release date for I Will Find You.

Lower can be seen in the newly released second season of Severance on Apple TV+, which became a massive hit for the streamer. Shortly after the critically acclaimed finale «Cold Harbor» landed on the platform, Apple TV+ officially renewed the hit series for a third season. Lower also recently appeared in Darkest Miriam, an independent film from director Naomi Jaye. The film premiered last year at the Tribeca Film Festival and at the Canadian Film Festival in March.

There is no official release date for Sender.
