You’re ready to destroy the gate and take Leon to the next area. But should you spend your money before you do it? As the story in Resident Evil Requiem progresses, Leon will need to destroy a gate using some explosives sourced from containers. This is a natural story progression moment and, up to this point, you’ve probably collected a lot of money. So the question is: should you spend the money before destroying the gate or is there a chance to spend it later? There are more opportunities to spend money after destroying the gate in East Raccoon City. The next area you reach will have a supply crate, so anything you don’t spend at the Central Camp can be spent when Leon gets to the next checkpoint. However, once you blow up the gate, you cannot come back and you are immediately taken to the next area. Beore you detonate the C4, make sure you collect the following: Back on the topic of spending credits, while there is some shooting involved in going from East Raccoon City to the next area, it doesn’t appear to use your weapons. If you want to save your cash and upgrade at the next spot, you are totally safe to do so. However, it’s worth upgrading your gear as you explore East Raccoon City, as there are a ton of infected and it will make it much easier to dispatch them if your equipment is improved. There is one caveat to upgrading your gear: the armor is a massive money-sink. The body armor will need constant repairs, but it is really useful. I would recommend buying it only after collecting the gas for the generators. The armor will be helpful at the top of Cedarbrook Apartments and in Willis Tower. The less you need to repair the armor, the more cash you will have to upgrade your weapons. Check out our Resident Evil Requiem page for more help finding collectibles.
