Not invited, not quiet about it!

Amy Schumer is getting the last word in New York. Days after her posts mocking Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding went viral, the comedian returned to Instagram on Friday, July 11, with a defiant bikini snap and a caption that made it clear where she stands.
“C-section peaking out saying yeah I’m a warrior,” the 45-year-old Trainwreck star wrote, pointing to the scar from the 2019 birth of her son Gene, whom she shares with estranged husband Chris Fischer. Schumer filed for divorce in January after seven years of marriage and has said her recent 50-pound weight loss was about survival, not vanity.

The post capped a week in which Schumer made herself the loudest uninvited voice in celebrity news. On the morning of the July 3 ceremony, she shared a photo of herself in a wedding dress and tiara beside Michael Cera, pulled from a scene in their series Life & Beth, and captioned it, “Okay so why weren’t we allowed in?“
One day earlier, as the couple’s rehearsal dinner got underway, she posted a photo of herself in a mismatched outfit complete with a straw hat and pink fanny pack, writing, “Rehersal dinner was sick. Who know was she has planned for us tonight,” typos seemingly included on purpose.
Swift, 36, and Kelce, 36, said “I do” at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, in front of roughly 1,000 guests, with Adam Sandler officiating and jumbotrons outside the arena flashing “JusT&T married.” The celebration, estimated at $15 million, featured Dior couture looks for both the bride and groom, custom Christian Louboutin shoes, and a reception lineup expected to include Stevie Nicks.
The spectacle was not universally loved in the city. The wedding buildup shut down Penn Station and parts of Midtown during a heatwave that pushed temperatures near 100 degrees, with a security presence comparable to that of a presidential visit. Schumer, who was born on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, watched the takeover of her hometown from the outside.
Fans Are Not Letting the ‘Warrior’ Caption Slide
She has insisted there is no feud. After her 2016 joke about Swift’s Grammys look drew backlash, her spokesperson told People the comedian “loves Taylor and was making a joke because [she] doesn’t have a thigh gap.” Schumer echoed that herself at the time, writing, “How about everyone takes a deep breath.”
The Friday post lit up X almost immediately, and the reaction was anything but gentle.
One skeptic questioned the framing entirely: “Huh? Why are you a warrior? Did you have a c-section out in the wilderness, biting down on a stick? Or, do you just want some attention?“
Others pushed back on the pile-on. “It was always fun to pile on her but she genuinely looks fabulous,” one supporter admitted.
And some are simply over the whole storyline: “Stop talking about Amy Schumer, no one cares about her body or her scars or her comedy.“
Invited or not, Schumer has managed to stay in the wedding conversation longer than most of the guest list.
