Sophia Bush has been speculating about the potential future of One Tree Hill, and revealing that the cast has been having conversations about where their characters are now.
One Tree Hill was a binge-worthy teen drama that aired on The WB from 2003 to 2006, and then on The CW from 2006 to 2012.
Originally set at a High School in North Carolina, the series revolved around the lives of five central characters, played by Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilarie Burton Morgan, Bethany Joy Lenz, and Sophia Bush.
While doing publicity for her new Tubi movie Summer’s Last Resort, Bush has been talking about a potential revival of the series on Netflix, and joking about what her character wouldn’t be up to now.

Sophia Bush played Brooke Davis in One Tree Hill, a confident, fun-loving, cheerleading party girl, who evolved into a successful fashion entrepreneur.
When asked about what the cast have been saying about a potential reboot, Bush told Dexerto: “I think something that’s been cool about even exploring it – obviously we started with conversations with the core five and spread outward from there – was just hearing what everyone thinks they’d be doing, because when when you’ve had something be a part of your life for 20 years, you can’t help but have ideas about it.
“That I just found so fun in that moment of of exploration. I think for me – and I think about it a lot in relation to this movie – Brooke was brought into the show to be the comic relief. I started my career as a comedian, and to be getting back into the comedy space, it just brings me so much joy, you know?”

Summer’s Last Resort co-star Jerry O’Connell then jumped in with a question, leading to some wild speculation about what Brooke could be doing now. Which Bush quickly shut down, via the following back-and-forth:

O’Connell: Have you thought about where you see Brooke in like, a reboot?
Bush: Totally… it’s very cool to see what every single person’s ideas are about where those people would be. And you realize, you know, when you’ve had somebody be part of your life for so long, you can’t help but think about it.
Dexerto: Forget fashion, Brooke could be a comedian!
Bush: Oh, my goodness. I don’t know that I could imagine her doing stand-up, but it does give me something to think about.
O’Connell: Wow. A Brooke comedy special. That would be like an added bonus.
Bush: Insane. That would actually be insane.
O’Connell: It would be hilarious, if there was like an hour Brooke comedy special that was alongside the reboot.
Bush: Oh my God. It’s too far. That actually reads sci-fi to me. Like we’ve woken up in another dimension. And everyone’s doing like a different thing that makes no sense.
