You can now take on the mighty Trygon in Space Marine 2.
Saber Interactive has released a new patch for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 today, adding its ninth PvE Operation “Exfiltration”, as well as Chapter Packs for the Space Wolves and Imperial Fists Space Marine chapters for owners of the season pass.
Exfiltration has players landing on the planet Avarax to find and rescue an Adeptus Mechanicus Tech-Priest. To do that, they must traverse the territory of a towering Trygon, a burrowing Tyranid monster capable of firing bursts of electricity and creating tunnels for other Tyranid organisms to infiltrate deep into enemy lines.
The update also comes with an assortment of quality of life updates, more free customization options outside the new Chapter Packs, and private PvP lobbies for up to 12 players.
Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, And More
The Trygon update will give season pass owners the Space Wolves Champion skin for the Vanguard, and the Imperial Fists Champion skin for the Tactical class.
Both Chapter Packs also include new weapon skins. The Space Wolves get skins for the Chainsword, Bolt Carbine, and Thunder Hammer, while the Imperial Fists get one for the Plasma Incinerator.
The Space Wolves Chapter Pack also includes over 50 unique cosmetics and colors for players to represent the 12 Great Companies of the Sons of Russ.
The update also adds the new Inferno Pistol weapon in both PvE and PvP, a -range weapon available for the Assault, Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes, buffs for bolt weapons, Prestige Ranks for PvE, an update to Weapon Perks, changed weapon class restrictions, and more.
There are also new global customization options, including the new armor colors Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue, along with new cloth color options and the ability to recolor hands.
This new update comes even as Saber Interactive is already in production of Space Marine 3, although that game is still some years away from release.
Space Marine 2 has seen an impressive level of post-launch support from Saber and Focus Entertainment, with a wide variety of both free and paid new content since its release even though it’s not a full live-service game.
