Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

This requires a bit of dedication… and maybe a whole lot of coffee.

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

ConcernedApe's 1.6 update to Stardew Valley has introduced the mastery system, which allows you to earn powerful rewards after fully completing each skill. The Statue Of Blessings is a reward for mastering farming, which bestows a randomized blessing every day.

However, the road to unlocking the Statue of Blessings is not easy, and with seven different blessings randomly available, the statue can be rather confusing when it is first crafted. If you want your own Statue of Blessings on your farm or need help understanding what each blessing does, check out the guide below.

How To Get Farming Mastery

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

Before you can use the Statue of Blessings, you will have to reach level ten with every skill in the game. Once every stat is maximized, head to the southeastern section of Cindersap Forest, to where the sewer pipe is located, to find the Mastery Room.

To fully maximize your skills, you will have to complete tasks within the realm of the skill. For example, catching fish will increase your fishing skill, while harvesting crops will increase your farming skill.

Carved into the mountain is a small cave prepared by Grandpa, with five different plaques that offer various rewards. By earning XP from completing the aforementioned tasks, you can eventually select one of the five mastery plaques to unlock, and the Farming Mastery Plaque unlocks the Statue of Blessings.

Just because you have unlocked the Farming Mastery Plaque does not mean that you are locked out of rewards from other skills. Continue collecting XP and you will eventually be able to unlock all five Mastery Plaques .

How To Craft And Use The Statue Of Blessings

Just because you have unlocked Farming Mastery does not mean you will immediately earn the Statue of Blessings. Instead, you will receive the crafting recipe for this powerful statue, which requires many natural materials.

To craft the Statue of Blessings, you will need the following materials:

  • 999 Stone
  • 999 Fiber
  • 999 Sap
  • 333 Moss

After crafting the statue, place it somewhere central on your farm, as you will need to interact with it every day to receive your buffs. By clicking on the statue, the visual appearance will change, and you will randomly earn one of seven blessings, which can be seen in the top right corner next to your clock.

What Does Each Blessing Do?

Blessing Of Fangs

Blessing

Symbol

Grants ten percent Crit Chance.

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

If you are taking on the Skull Cavern or the Dangerous Mines, then the Blessing of Fangs will help you dish out some extra damage. In Stardew Valley, every attack has a small chance to critically strike, dealing extra damage and playing a sound effect.

To best utilize this buff, we recommend combining the Crit Chance from the statue with other sources of Crit Chance, such as the Scout Combat Skill, Aquamarine Rings, or weapons that already come with Crit Chance.

Blessing Of Friendship

Blessing

Symbol

Increases the amount of friendship you gain when speaking to people.

Earning friendship with the people of Pelican Town is incredibly important, because you can unlock gifts and crafting recipes by befriending different characters. This buff is most useful during festivals, since every villager will gather in a specific area, ensuring you will not have to race around town to find them.

Keep in mind that while this blessing boosts the amount of friendship you earn from speaking with people, it does not increase the amount of friendship you earn by giving out gifts.

Blessing Of The Butterfly

Blessing

Symbol

Spawns a Primastic Butterfly somewhere in the valley.

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

The Prismatic Butterfly is a rainbow insect that will fly around the various areas on the map, and if caught will gift you gold, and possibly a prismatic shard. The amount of gold you receive is calculated from the total amount you have earned throughout your playthrough, with a maximum of 50,000g.

Here are the following areas where the Prismatic Butterfly may spawn:

  • Pelican Town
  • Cindersap Forest
  • The Beach
  • The Mountain
  • The Secret Woods
  • The Bus Stop
  • The Backwoods

Blessing Of Waters

Blessing

Symbol

The first three fish you catch are significantly easier.

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

While this blessing is active, the difficulty of non-legendary fish is reduced by 50 percent, and the progress bar decays 50 percent slower. This makes even the most difficult fish a complete breeze to catch, but keep in mind that the difficulty of legendary fish is reduced by only 25 percent.

If you happen to catch any of the various junk items while fishing, then these will not count towards the three chances the blessing provides. However, if you fail to reel in a fish while this blessing is active, then you will lose one of your three fishing chances.

If you have unlocked the volcano at Ginger Island, then we recommend heading to the top and catching three lava eels with this blessing, as these fiery fish can be smoked and sold for a massive amount of gold.

Blessing Of Energy

Blessing

Symbol

Grants infinite energy.

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

Whether you are tending to your crops, cutting down trees, fishing, or mining for ore, every action you do will consume a small portion of your energy bar. While you can always eat different foods to replenish your energy, the Blessing of Energy makes your life easier for a day, since you will not have to worry about eating food or getting a full night's rest.

Even though you will have infinite energy with this blessing, your health will still deteriorate if you are damaged, so remember to bring food to dangerous places like the Skull Cavern or the Mines.

Blessing Of Speed

Blessing

Symbol

Grants +.05 movement speed

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

Speed is one of the best stats to have because it allows you to travel to your destination faster, saving time throughout the day. This stat is most noticeable in the Skull Cavern, since you need to quickly traverse the floors and reach treasure before the day is over.

The best part about the Blessing of Speed is that it can be combined with other speed buffs, such as drinking coffee or triple-shot espresso, turning your default stroll into a full-on sprint.

Blessing Of Luck

Blessing

Symbol

Grants +1 luck

Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Statue Of Blessings

Luck is one of the hardest stats to maximize in Stardew Valley, and one of the most important. Whenever you complete an action in the game, such as mining for minerals, picking up forageable items, or cutting down a tree, your luck stat will determine if you receive rarer quality items.

Luck also plays a big role in the Mines and the Skull Cavern, since a higher luck stat means that more minerals, chests, and ladders will spawn on each floor. Overall, having multiple sources of luck will make everything in the game easier for you, so take advantage of this blessing if you roll it.
