The death of former Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets has been officially ruled a suicide by local police.

Darrell Sheets was a reality star who appeared on A&E hit Storage Wars from 2010 to 2023. His death was announced on April 22, 2026, at the age of 67.
Lake Havasu Police have now confirmed that Sheets’ cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They added that the results of a toxicology report are still pending.
Police Sergeant Kyle Ridgeway also revealed that allegations of cyberbullying against the TV personality are still being investigated.

After Sheets’ death, Storage Wars co-star Laura Dotson told US Magazine that he had been dealing with a campaign of online harassment.
“His family told us that this has been happening for three years,” Dotson revealed. [It happens to] even strong men that you think aren’t gonna get their feelings hurt. Cyberbullying is a real thing. This made him feel less than, and it really obviously bothered him.”
“He was terrified for his life [and] for the people around him. He didn’t know why he was being targeted.”

Sheets had previously posted on Facebook on March 9, 2026: “I have been hacked by a very evil person… I’m not gay, I have made no post about any children’s arcade owner etc. I’m extremely sorry and sick over this, these people have ruined me.”
Those allegations are now part of ongoing enquiries, with the Lake Havasu police stating (as per Variety): “Our agency continues to actively investigate allegations of cyberbullying associated with this case.
