Thanks to new day one games confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in June, July, and August, the summer months are already looking ridiculously stacked for the subscription service. 2025 will likely be remembered as one of the best years in Xbox Game Pass history, with all kinds of quality games landing on the service.
The new Xbox Game Pass games for 2025 kicked off with a solid January that featured the likes of Citizen Sleeper 2, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and the Ninja Gaiden 2 Black shadow drop. February 2025 saw the addition of day one game Avowed, while March 2025 was home to the likes of the early access version of 33 Immortals and the popular Atomfall. April 2025 was the hottest month for Xbox Game Pass to date, with likely Game of the Year nominee Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 added as a day one game alongside the critically-acclaimed puzzle game Blue Prince, the Oblivion Remastered shadow drop, and the return of Grand Theft Auto 5.
Xbox Game Pass’ May 2025 lineup is no joke either, with the service recently adding co-op game Revenge of the Savage Planet with well-reviewed first-person shooter Doom: The Dark Ages joining on May 15. There are still a variety of other exciting new games coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in May 2025, but in the meantime, the summer months are starting to fill up. Four games are confirmed for June, two heavy hitters are on their way in July, and what will likely prove to be one of the most popular new day one games is coming in August.
New Xbox Game Pass Games for June 2025
- The Alters — June 13
- FBC: Firebreak — June 17
- Rematch — June 19
- Against the Storm (Console) — June 26
The new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2025 include unique sci-fi survival game The Alters, where players manage clones of themselves, and co-op shooter game FBC: Firebreak, which is set in the same universe as Remedy’s Alan Wake and Control. On June 19, the new soccer game from the creators of Sifu, Rematch, will hit Game Pass Ultimate, and finally, console gamers will get to check out the critically-acclaimed roguelike city builder game Against the Storm on June 26. June is going to be a huge month for Xbox Game Pass for more than just the new game additions, though. On June 8, Microsoft will host its annual Xbox Games Showcase, which will likely include a ton of Xbox Game Pass announcements. We know for a fact that day one Game Pass Ultimate game The Outer Worlds 2 will be featured at the event, so subscribers should be sure to tune in.
New Xbox Game Pass Games for July 2025
- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 — July 11
- Wuchang: Fallen Feathers — July 24
So far, two day one games have been confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate July 2025 lineup, but they are both high-profile releases. On July 11, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get to check out Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, which combines content from the third and fourth Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games into a single convenient package with gameplay tweaks and significant graphical upgrades. It is somewhat disappointing that the Career Mode from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 isn’t making the jump to the collection, but it will still be nice to have these classic parks readily accessible on modern gaming consoles.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, meanwhile, is a brand-new action Soulslike game that will join the Xbox Game Pass Ultimately library on July 24. In the game, players take on the role of a female pirate exploring Ancient Shu. Soulslike fans have been eating good this year, and hopefully Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is yet another high-quality entry in the tough-as-nails genre.
New Xbox Game Pass Games for August 2025
- Gears of War: Reloaded — August 26
There is only one new Xbox Game Pass game confirmed for August 2025 to date, but it’s easily going to be one of the most popular new additions to the service this year. On August 26, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have the chance to check out Gears of War: Reloaded, a remastered version of the original Gears of War game with improved visuals and performance. Gears of War: Reloaded also marks the series’ debut on PS5, with cross-play and cross-progression planned. It should be a great way to take a trip down memory lane for fans of the third-person shooter franchise, and hopefully it’s the start of Microsoft bringing the other classic Gears of War games to modern consoles.
While there are still many more new games yet to be confirmed for June, July, and August 2025, the summer months are already looking plenty stacked for the service.
