Sydney Sweeney has revealed her body underwent two major changes as she trained for her role as boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic.
Sweeney will take on the role of Martin in the as-yet-untitled movie, which will chart her rise as America’s most famous female boxer in the 1990s, up until the attempted murder of her by her husband in 2010.
Sydney was candid about her body transformation to become the legendary athlete. According to the actor, she gained 30 lbs to better physically embody the former WBC female super welterweight champion.

Sweeney revealed that both her “boobs” and “butt” got bigger as a result of her change in diet and training.
“My body was completely different,” Sweeney told W Magazine. “I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god.”
The Euphoria actor revealed that she spent most days weight-training, kickboxing, and eating in order to achieve the desired results. She noted that she felt “amazing” and “crazy strong”
Filming for the biopic concluded in 2024, though it has yet to receive an official release date.
