With so many outcomes and choices to make in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, it’s easy to get lost and wonder if you’re doing the right thing. There are plenty of people you can ask for advice, but why not ask someone with much more experience, someone who has seem lifetimes worth of information pass by in the blink of an eye?
Muriel is one such character, and she’s spiteful to boot at the beginning. However, once you get her talking, you’ll learn so much more about Avalon and the meaning of humanity in these trying times. We’ll help you locate her!
Where To Find Muriel The Chicken In The Horns Of The South
Before you can embark on a journey to find everlasting wisdom, you’ll need to help Jann Heber in the Horns of the South. He’ll give you a special potion to drink as a test, and once you do, the adventure begins.
The effects don’t seem to do anything, until you meet with Muriel atop the tower at the west end of the fort. Here, speak with the white chicken in the rooftop garden to realize that Heber’s concoction enables you to speak with chickens!
This is the first of three encounters you’ll have, as Muriel will continue to move across Avalon as the main story progresses. If you can find and chat with her three times, you’ll unlock The Oracle’s Cluck trophy/achievement.
Where To Find Muriel The Chicken In Cuanacht
In act two, when you arrive in Cuanacht, head to the lower level of the city where the pig pen is. A few steps away, you’ll find Muriel by a crumbling wall.
Speak with her to catch up on your travels and learn a little more about her. There’s a lot to talk about, so be friendly and ask the questions you want before moving on.
Where To Find Muriel The Chicken In The Forlorn Swords
Finally, you’ll need to get to the Theud village in the southwest of the Forlorn Swords. Just outside, overlooking the ruined bridge, you’ll find Muriel resting and waiting for you.
When you talk with her for the first time here, you’ll just be catching up. However, the achievement for learning her secrets won’t pop. Talk to her again to get a menu of questions, then press the matter about her flying.
She’ll give you a lot of sass at first, but as you continue to encourage her to fly, you’ll get a cutscene that wraps up the hidden questline. This unlocks the trophy/achievement, and Muriel will finally leave Avalon and head home.
Muriel’s body may be stuck on the platform after she flies away, and if you speak with her, she’ll only say «Bye!»
