Why is From a Must-Watch?
CBR’s Maham Arsalan called From a must-watch even for those who don’t consider themselves a fan of the sci-fi genre. Arsalan called From a “mental roller coaster ride,” and said the show will “intrigue and frustrate viewers as they become entangled in the show’s twists and turns.”
In From, anyone who ventures into the unnamed town has no way of leaving it unless they are dead. The monsters who come out to hunt the town’s residents when the sun goes down do so not only physically, but mentally, keeping the people living there in an anxious state of fear.

A Season 4 Update Came in June
Created by John Griffin, From has also been touted as a Lost replacement series, and the show’s fourth season just got a major production update. In a June 26 post to X (formerly Twitter), the official From on MGM+ account posted that production on Season 4 has now begun. In a previous update, From executive producer Jeff Pinkner said, per The Direct, that the team was “wildly hopeful” that the show’s fourth season would be out by the end of 2025, but that does not seem to be the case since filming has just started.
Griffin, however, stated that the team is “not going to be done shooting until the holidays.” That update puts From’s next season release as sometime in early 2026. The third season of From premiered on Sept. 22, 2024, and its 10-episode season concluded on Nov. 24, 2024.
Who Will Return?
Most of the main cast members are expected to return for the fourth installment of the series, including Perrineau’s Boyd Stevens. However, it’s unlikely that Bailey’s character, Jim, will return as he was killed in the Season 3 finale. David Alpay’s Jade character will also play a larger role in the fourth season.
