The M277 is one of the most consistent Carbines in Battlefield 6, especially with the best attachment loadout.
Carbines are one of the most consistent weapon types in Battlefield 6, and the M277 is the ultimate example of that fact. It can and will eliminate enemies with the same number of shots out to near-sniper-rifle range. Equip the best M277 build, and things get even spicier. Here’s what you should use.
The best M277 loadout — Battlefield 6
The M277 is a four-shot kill out to an absurd distance, but it pays for that lethality with an equally silly amount of recoil and weapon bounce. It doesn’t fire as fast as something like the M4A1, nor is it as accurate downrange as the AK-205, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find another gun that can tap fire unsuspecting enemies when they think they’re safe.
Best M277 Attachments
The attachment loadout I’ve chosen for the M277 is all about speed and control. You can only go so far in taming the weapon’s heavy recoil, but you can increase the M277’s effectiveness and readiness up close and at mid-range with the right attachments. Think a good grip, a higher-capacity magazine, and a faster reload (my favorite bit).
I also recommend the Heavy Barrel on any weapon that can use it to drastically increase the bullet velocity. Lower bullet travel time means higher killing potential at range. The M277 comes with a suppressor by default, but you’ll need to work long and hard for the one you really want to use. The best suppressor doesn’t confer any major benefits, but costs a full 10 fewer points to equip, opening up other attachment opportunities.

With the above loadout, expect some of the most consistent mid-range performance the M277 can deliver. You aren’t sacrificing ADS accuracy with the grip, and while the ADS time is a little slow, if you play at the right distances, that’s not really a problem. Best of all, the reload is just under two seconds, putting it nearly on par with the all-powerful M4A1.
The M277 is a tap and burst-fire machine, but fares relatively well up close if you catch your enemy unawares. Mid-range is where it really shines, though, so you won’t always be the tip of the spear with it equipped. Holding down sightlines and high-traffic lanes should be your bread and butter.
