Cure for Isaac is a quest that takes place in The Forge when players reach the second world.
Like with the Monkey quest, this side mission has you acting as a good Samaritan and helping out a character in need. When you begin the quest it may seem simple enough, as you just need to pick up a health potion for Isaac, but there’s one thing that could throw you.

How to start the Cure for Isaac quest
You can start the Cure for Isaac quest once you reach the second world in The Forge, called the Forgotten Kingdom. The starting point for the quest is a bit of trek from where you spawn. Start walking and then when you reach the Greedy Cey merchant take a right turn. Follow the path until you reach a sign with a left arrow.
Go left and then through the big castle-style gate and then take a left turn again and follow that path. You’ll reach an area where a number of characters have set up tents near the Ruined Cave. Isaac is opposite the entrance to the cave, in the tent on the far left. Speak to him and offer to help him to begin the quest.
What health potion do you need?
You may think you can get any health potion for Isaac and it’ll help him out. In fact, the Health Potion II you can purchase from the Potions stall on the Forgotten Kingdom may seem like the best option. But if you purchase that potion and try to offer it to Isaac he’ll refuse it and ask if you’re joking.
To cure Isaac, you need to use your Portal to head back to Stonewake’s Cross and purchase the Health Potion I from the Potions stall there. It’s located close to where you spawn, right next to Sensei Moro and the forging anvil.
Cure for Isaac quest rewards
Completing the Cure for Isaac quest will net you some XP, which will help you increase your character’s level. Unfortunately, you won’t get any in-game cash or extra items as a reward. But you will get the ‘Cure for Isaac’ badge.
