Last week, The Pokemon Company in Japan revealed the full Glory of Team Rocket setlist from the Pokemon TCG (minus the secret rares). The reveal showed off ex cards including Rocket’s Moltres, Giovanni’s Mewtwo, Rocket’s Crobat, Giovanni’s Nidoking, and Giovanni’s Persian, and naturally, speculation ran wild.
With such fan-favorite characters and Pokemon in the spotlight, the secret rares had to be great, right?
Now, ahead of its launch later this week, the secret rares have begun to leak online, and there’s no doubt that this will be one of the hottest sets in the Pokemon Trading Card Game’s history.
The Glory Of Team Rocket Secret Rares Include Giovanni's Mewtwo ex And Rocket's Moltres ex
As is so often the case with Japanese Pokemon TCG sets, people have gotten their hands on the product early, and the secret rares are making their way out into the wild.
One of the most hotly anticipated, widely speculated cards was the Giovanni’s Mewtwo ex SAR, which has now been revealed. It features a giant Mewtwo in the background, with a menacing Giovanni in the foreground.
Two other cards that are likely to see a lot of love are the Rocket’s Moltres ex SAR and the Rocket’s Houndoom AR, which can be seen below:
There were three more major SAR cards revealed during the leak, including this Team Rocket’s Giovanni, featuring an ensemble of Team Rocket members:
This Crobat ex, which coincidentally will be my chase card, featured alongside a Blaziken AR:
And this Giovanni’s Nidoking ex:
