The co-creators of HBO’s zombie apocalypse series The Last of Us are finally admitting that season 3 will primarily center on Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever. This confirms that the series will the same structure as the original video game sequel, which co-creator Neil Druckmann was surprised that HBO let him and his creative team do.
According to Variety, The Last of Us season 3 will arrive after a divisive season 2 outing that primarily focused on Bella Ramsey’s character, Ellie. Dever, who had a small but incredibly significant role in The Last of Us season 2, is set to take on much more screentime in the third season, which is likley to be released in 2027.
The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic drama series set two decades after a global catastrophe. It s Joel, a seasoned survivor, who is tasked with escorting Ellie, a teenage girl, across a desolated United States, transforming into a harrowing journey of survival and companionship.
