The Assassin’s Creed series has introduced its fair share of unique, prominent, and amazing characters to the franchise. From the likes of the swaggering Edward Kenway to the arrogant yet competent duo of Jacob and Evie Frye, the Assassin Order has been led to the fray by a plethora of varied protagonists, all of whom have served to bring their order to its greatest heights, along with becoming the subject of interest for many fans. In fact, at the very beginning of Assassin’s Creed II, Ezio was a brash, headstrong, and arrogant individual. These traits especially intensified after the death of most of his family at the hands of the Templars, which began a decades-long quest for vengeance, which was the central drive of his actions.

It’s another reason why Ezio’s character resonates with so many fans, as those who have played Assassin’s Creed II through Assassin’s Creed Revelations and have even seen the short film Assassin’s Creed Embers have seen the life and growth of Ezio from his birth until his death.

Ezio’s life, actions, and legacy have left a lasting legacy for both the Assassin Order and his successors. Because of him, the Templar threat in Italy was extinguished, the piece of Eden was found, and a vital message was delivered throughout time that would help in saving the world. He is also responsible for not only saving the Assassin Order but helping it thrive, making the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins one of the strongest brotherhoods in its time.
Even with his passing in Assassin’s Creed Embers, he ensured that the Assassins would be able to continue their work through the ages, long after his death. Ezio and his legacy would become not only known, but lauded. Even in the present day, the Assassins hold Ezio in high esteem for his efforts to the Brotherhood. Efforts which would prove vital to helping save the world from destruction centuries after his time.
