LGBTQ+ representation has come a long way from seeing just a few minor characters in old video games to getting to experience some of the most profound and iconic LGBTQ+ romances, as well as stepping into the shoes of LGBTQ+ protagonists in games. PC comes with an even greater advantage than consoles because it's filled with a lot more options.
It's truly fantastic when a game comes along and quite literally changes the game for LGBTQ+ representation, and you'll see a lot of that here with some of these options below. Whether you're more into visual novels, choose-your-own-adventures, life sims, or even VR games, there's a gem across every genre.
This list aims to find the best LGBTQ+ games that are only on PC, but, due to the joint exclusivity, a few are also on Xbox.

What if there was an alternate Life is Strange universe in which there was no murder mystery of a Blackwell Academy student to solve? What if Max Caulfield was just a photography student seeking romantic interests in a 2D dating simulator-style visual novel? Well, that would precisely describe Love is Strange.
In this fan-made take on the original episodic adventure, you'll help Max get her photography skills polished for a competition while also exploring relationships with the all-female cast of Chloe Price, Rachel Amber, Victoria Chase, and Kate Marsh. Everything is based on your decisions, and there are nine different endings to unlock.

What's the key to a prosperous settlement? Why, love in this case. Lakeburg Legacies will have you playing a medieval-times Cupid as you match up all the characters you think will be the most compatible together, and that will also mean same-sex couples! There's certainly not been quite a romantic medieval sim like this one yet.

However, there is only one main love interest, a character named Cove Holden, who develops with you through life.
What's most significant about this visual novel is that you can choose from male, female, and non-binary, and can later switch these at any stage of your character's life, depending on whether they may have transitioned, like in the real world.

The environment itself is designed within the inside of a chest cavity, where you can see a ribcage and a beating heart as part of it.
