The final stage in Children Of The Sun is also the most difficult.
For the most part, the individual stages in Children of the Sun are straightforward. There are multiple paths to eliminating all the enemies, though in many cases those paths are narrow. The final level, The Temple, is a gauntlet of trick shots that's divided into two sections. Even worse, if you fail in the second section, you go all the way back to the beginning.
There's no additional challenge in this level; all you have to do is eliminate the High Priest's guards to open the doors, then take him out. Every plausible route requires precision; here's the one that we've found to be the most consistent.
How To Remove The Blue Temple Barrier
The first barrier goes down when you eliminate the seven Cultists in the outer area. There are three each on the right and left, and one in the middle.
Start by moving slightly to the right and shooting the Cultist nearest you, in the cornfield. If you're quick, you can get a straight shot, but if he moves out of view just use Telekinesis to hit him. Next, fire through the hay bales and guide your bullet into the head of the unarmored Cultist behind them.
Be sure to get headshots on both these enemies, as you'll need to charge up for a Redirect. In general, this guide assumes that you hit all enemy weak points if they have them.
Ignore the armored enemy for now; instead, aim to the right. Have your bullet glance off the nearest yellow barrier, then guide it to do the same off the next one. As soon as you're out of the barrier's influence, redirect into the horned Cultist you just passed over; you may need to wait a second as you move over the roof.
Quickly shoot the other horned Cultist in the hut midway between the two groups; you need to be fast, or his barrier will regenerate.
Now, shoot the armored Cultist on the left side that you ignored before, since you have enough distance for a Power Shot. From there, aim slightly to the left of the remaining Cultists. If you slowly guide your bullet, you'll get a path through the hut windows for a Power Shot on the other armored enemy.
Alternately, you can maneuver the bullet back into the hut and still have enough distance.
The remaining Cultist is nearby and unarmored; finish him off with a headshot.
How To Remove The Red Temple Barrier
Once the blue barrier is down, you'll have access to more targets. Fire through the trees to the right of the Temple and guide your bullet into the hut there. Hit the Cultist in the center, then fire through the window to skim off the yellow barrier outside. Just like before, redirect to kill the horned Cultist before his barrier comes back.
This area is very to the red barrier, so be sure to avoid hitting it!
Shoot the Cultist directly below you; you can highlight your reticle through the trees if you haven't marked him. Once he's dead, fire into the sky over the Girl's original sniping position. On the way up, slow down and try to mark one or more birds, since this will make the final part of the stage much easier.
Once you're a fair distance from the Temple, redirect into the armored guard that's walking forward. You should have plenty of distance for a Power Shot; if not, just wait to move further away before attacking.
Next, shoot the Cultist in the central hut. You'll probably need to guide your bullet to reach him, but he's an easy headshot if you do.
Fire through the window at the leftmost side of the remaining yellow barrier. Graze it to shut it down, then immediately redirect into the hut below. By immediately guiding the bullet with Telekinesis, you can curve under the door jamb to get a headshot on the Cultist inside, then shoot out the window and up to hit the horned Cultist.
By this point, the Cultist in the car should be coming around the front of the Temple. Carefully guide a shot into his gas tank, then search the sky for the bird(s) you marked earlier. Use them to get enough height for a Power Shot on the remaining armored guard, in front of the Temple doors.
Once all sixteen Cultists are dead, the red barrier will fall and the doors will open, giving you a clear shot at the High Priest to finish the game.
