Dead By Daylight: Freebie Code Guide

There’s always some new piece of DLC, special event, or freebie code coming in Dead By Daylight. Whilst most of the big announcements are broadcast from their storefronts with dev blogs or posted on Twitter, their promotional codes are a little harder to find. They’re normally given only to a select group of Twitch Streamers and YouTubers that are connected to their Fog Whisperer program.

These are then announced onstream and you just need to get lucky with being there when a code goes out. They’re also posted sporadically on Social Media in a number of locations if you know where to look. But basically, your average Dead By Daylight fan is probably not going to be aware of this and could be missing out. That’s where this guide comes in, here's a running list of all the active Dead By Daylight Promo Codes out now.

Updated June 29, 2024 By Matthew Mckeown: It’s another month, so time once again to check out what’s going on with Dead By Daylight. Fresh off June’s D&D additions, things quietened down for a while.

We mostly saw minor updates to Killers like the Singularity and The Knight to tweak their abilities. There’s also been the addition of new layouts for Yamaoka Estate and Mount Ormond Resort to keep some old classics fresh and fix some old bugs. Code wise we’ve got some minor goodies worth grabbing, so here’s an updated look at our Dead By Daylight freebie codes.

What Do Promo Codes Do?

The Promo Codes in Dead By Daylight are always worth using. Though they’re not game-changing rewards like new characters, you can earn some nice cosmetic items like charms and masks. There's also some holiday-themed clothing for certain characters that crop up around Halloween, Christmas, and the Lunar New Year to make things more festive.

Plus, if you’re having trouble building up your Bloodpoints, there are regular code drops for a gigantic amount of blood points to spend however you want. It's pretty handy for filling out the Bloodweb of your main characters or for unlocking new skills for a Killer or Survivor you might want to try but didn't have the time to grind up points for.

How To Redeem Codes

Redeeming Promo Codes is incredibly simple and should only take you a few minutes if you follow these instructions.

On the main page of Dead By Daylight head to the Store, once this screen opens at the top right side there will be an icon that says “REDEEM CODE”. Select this and another window will open in front of you with the option to enter the code.

Put in the particular code you would like to use and hit “Redeem”. If it’s valid it should activate right away with the game notifying you by showing the Bloodpoints, Charms, or other items appearing in a small box at the bottom of the screen.

It's worth noting is that some codes are time-sensitive and will expire after a set period, whilst others are permanently active. This tends to be for seasonal events, or as part of a special theme with updates. Codes can only be redeemed once, but there are those that are permanently active, so you can pick them up at your leisure.
