Updated April 16, 2024, by Charles Burgar: The next set of Brave weapons can now be earned in the Onslaught playlist. We've updated this guide to include the release calendar for all upcoming Brave weapons, and we've added a section that explains how to unlock weapon focusing for each weapon.
Craftable Exotics
The Whisper mission and Zero Hour have returned with Into the Light, complete with craftable variants ofWhisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected. Whisper of the Worm can be unlocked by completing "The Whisper" mission within the Into the Light node on the Director. Speak with Eris Morn to start the quest. Brave Arsenal
Lord Shaxx has opened his prized armory to all Guardians who assist in defending the Last City. Rebranded as the Brave arsenal, these 12 iconic weapons have been brought back with refreshed perk pools, a new origin trait, and a golden appearance. You can earn all of these weapons by completing waves of the new Onslaught game mode, found under the "Into the Light" Director node. No DLC ownership is required to play Onslaught.
Holofoil Variants
There is a rare chance that a Brave weapon can drop as a holofoil variant. All holofoil variants come with a unique ornament and double perks in each column. They're fairly rare, with a drop rate comparable to Forsaken's curated weapons.
Holofoil variants will stop dropping when The Final Shape releases. If you care about cosmetics, now is the time to farm them.
All Brave weapons roll with the Indomitable origin trait. While using a Light subclass, weapon final blows will restore 5% of your grenade energy. Darkness subclasses restore melee energy instead. More recent weapons that currently drop with origin traits—notably Forbearance and Succession—roll with Indomitable instead of their standard origin trait.

Unlocking New Weapon Focusing
Every weapon in the BRAVE arsenal can be focused at the Hall of Champions, the unique hub area for this content update. You must complete the weapon's respective quest from Arcite 99-40 to unlock weapon focusing. These quests usually require you to eliminate enemies with a certain weapon type. For example, Midnight Coup's quest requires you to land Hand Cannon kills.
Once finished, head back to the Hall of Champions and interact with a Shaxx hologram. Each hologram corresponds with a BRAVE weapon. Interacting with the hologram will make that weapon your current focus, increasing its drop rate to 50%. This applies to Onslaught chests and the chest within the Hall of Champions. This does not affect Holofoil drop chances.
Notable Weapon Changes
Enhanced Perks
Once The Final Shape expansion is released, all Brave weapons will be eligible for enhanced perk crafting. Bring the weapon to the Enclave and spend Ascendant Alloys to enhance each perk.
Rolls with multiple perks in each column may have each perk enhanced. Brave weapons may not have their barrels, magazines, stocks, or Masterwork bonuses changed.
- Blast Furnace: Rolls barrel perks in place of scopes. Comes with the Rasmussen ISA scope pre-installed.
- Elsie's Rifle: Reprised from the original Destiny (Stranger's Rifle) with a PvP-focused perk pool. Feels similar to No Time to Explain.
- Luna's Howl: Retains its 140 RPM nerf, but it has the recoil pattern and intrinsic +25 AE of a 180. Magnificent Howl was also reworked. It now behaves similarly to Hawkmoon. Critical kills load stronger bullets on your next reload that deal massively increased precision damage.
- Midnight Coup: Converted to a 140 RPM Hand Cannon, but saw a massive stat buff.
- The Mountaintop: Micro-Missile and Danger are now intrinsically on the weapon. Danger Zone is always active, even if you aren't surrounded. It can no longer one-tap in PvP, even on direct impact. To compensate, most nerfs from Beyond Light (notably in-air accuracy penalties) were undone.
- The Recluse: Master of Arms is now a 15% damage buff and no longer grants critical damage to non-critical hits. It still activates after landing a kill with any weapon.
Dares Of Eternity Perk Refresh
Bungie has refreshed the Dares of Eternity weapons once again with Into the Light. All 30th Anniversary weapons awarded from Dares now roll with their original and new perk options. For example, the BxR-55 Battler can roll with Demolitionist + Adrenaline Junkie once again. This change has been retroactively applied to their crafting patterns, so you can reforge your weapons with these reprised perks if you desire.
Weapon stats and general behavior remain the same. You can view the exact perk pool changes on d2foundry.
