Completing dungeons in Diablo 4 is a good way to get guaranteed Legendary Aspects, which will help when beefing up your build. While stronger Aspects will drop as Legendary items, especially in higher World Tiers, these one-time dungeon rewards are greatly for the early game, and also make decent sources of experience.
The Shadowed Plunge is a dungeon in Hawezar that rewards the Aspect of Branching Volleys for Rogues, which enhances the Barrage skill. Below, we'll take a look at where to find this dungeon, what its map looks like, and how to complete it.
Dungeon Location
The Shadowed Plunge dungeon is found in southern Hawezar, in the Vyeresz area of the map. Before you can attempt this dungeon, you'll need to complete the Vyeresz Stronghold, which involves clearing out groups of Cultists and destroying their Serpent's Eyes.
Once the Stronghold is conquered, you can freely enter the Shadowed Plunge.
Dungeon Map
While the layouts of dungeons in Diablo 4 are slightly randomized, you can get a decent idea of what to expect by looking at this map beforehand. The Shadowed Plunge is mainly made up of narrow passages without too many large rooms, so enemies will tend to funnel together.
Shadowed Plunge Walkthrough
Before you begin this dungeon, you may want to craft an Elixir of Man-Slaying, as you'll mainly be fighting Cultists here. There are some Snake-type enemies, but Cultists are much more prevalent.
Your first objective in the Shadowed Plunge is to free seven prisoners. Explore the Hall of Sacrifices and interact with either prisoners or the remains of prisoners to free them. Do this seven times, and the door to the next area will open.
Travel to the Egg Incubation Chambers, then kill the Elite enemies that await you. Moving into the second area of the dungeon, you'll need to find and destroy three Ward of Eyes. These structures are guarded by Elite enemies and groups of Cultists and Snakes, so kill all the enemies before focusing your attention on the Ward of Eyes.
Once you've destroyed all three Ward of Eyes, the dungeon will be complete. The Aspect of Branching Volleys will automatically be unlocked in your codex, so you can leave as soon as you're ready.
