In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can open the door to Mulan's realm and bring both her and Mushu to the village. However, you'll need to complete a series of quests to prove you're an above-average recruit (and not a spy). As a new recruit, you'll have to do a lot of the grunt work.
Thankfully, Mushu's got your back. While he's in character as your sergeant, he's also quite understanding. As you prepare to start your training as a recruit, he'll be there to help along the way. Here's how you can start the process of bringing China's greatest heroes to your village.
How To Clean Up the Camp
When you arrive in Mulan's Realm, you'll need to make your way to the camp. Mushu is waiting for you there, but all the other defender recruits have already finished training. While he's upset with you, it doesn't last long–there's work to be done.
To get started on your training, Mushu will have you clean up the camp. You may notice spilled rice, a toppled cauldron, and rocks all over the camp. It's a mess, and it's your job to clean it all up. Here's what you need to do:
- Use your Royal Pickaxe to break Rocks (8)
- Use your Royal Shovel to dig up the Rice Spills (12)
- Flip over the cauldron
You'll need to move all around the camp to find each of the items. The cauldron can be found to the north west of the camp's entrance, but the rice and rocks are scattered throughout the camp. Once you've cleaned everything up, return to Mushu.
Where To Find The Uniform
After you have cleaned up the camp, Mushu will send you to find the pieces of your new uniform. They're unfortunately scattered in and out of the camp. Thankfully, we've marked their locations for you:

With all the uniform pieces in your inventory, return to Mushu. He'll assemble them into an outfit for you to wear. Put on your complete training uniform and move on to the next part of the quest.
How To Make Mushu's Congee
The last part of the quest is to make Mulan's breakfast since she slept in. Mushu will give you his recipe for Mushu Congee, and you'll have to prepare it. Thankfully, everything you need is in the camp!
The ingredients can be found at a table next to the cauldron.
Grab the ingredients and head to the campfire to cook. You'll need to following ingredients:
- Rice
- Eggs
- Mushrooms
- Garlic
- Ginger
Throw everything together and cook it with coal. Once the meal is ready, bang the gong to wake Mulan. Deliver the breakfast to her to wrap up the quest and begin the next step in your training journey!
