Exploring the Sunken Ruins reveals more puzzles for you to solve if you're going to find the Spark of Imagination, and you won't be able to do it alone. Team up with your friends to stop Jafar and save Eternity Isle from his evil schemes!
How To Unlock A Bit Of Help From Your Friends
You'll unlock this quest after completing The Sunken Ruins quest, which has you use your Royal Hourglass to turn back time so you can enter this ancient structure. Enter the Sunken Ruins with Merlin to see what's in store.
After examining each chamber, Merlin tells you that you need help from three other villagers to unlock the trap door leading to the lower levels of the ruins.
All The Right Notes
The first person you should help is Rapunzel, as her All The Right Notes quest involves growing crops. Talk to her about singing the right notes for one of the Sunken Ruins puzzles, and she'll tell you that her voice needs to rest.
Rapunzel will then send you to her tower to find recipes left behind by Mother Gothel. These recipes make special dishes that speed up Rapunzel's recovery. You'll find two Purple Seeds in the Promenade. Dig them up with your Royal Shovel and plant the seeds.
It takes 20 minutes for the seeds to grow.
When the herbs are ready to harvest, head to the nearest Stove and prepare Mother Gothel's Soup and Mother Gothel's Tea following the recipes you found. Give them to Rapunzel and wait five minutes for her voice to recover. She will agree to meet you at the Sunken Ruins.
Hero Pose
For the Hero Pose quest, talk to Gaston about helping out. He agrees, but he needs to be at his burliest for the plan to work. That means making him the breakfast of champions using a special recipe for the Golden Omelet.
The ingredients are all made of solid gold and can be found in small piles of coins in the Cave of Wonders. Explore the area to find what you need, then cook Gaston's meal and serve it to him.
Afterward, he'll tell you he's been thinking about a sidekick to help him with this goal. He'll ask you to craft a Shiny LeFou to help open the trap door. Do as he asks and return to him. With everything ready to go, he'll agree to meet you at the Sunken Ruins.
Does Not Compute
To help EVE, you'll need to complete the Does Not Compute quest, which builds an Ancient Processor and Universal Adapter for her. She'll give you a map of places to look for the ancient parts, and you'll need to use your Royal Tools to get each of them.
Once you have the pieces, you can use a Timebending Table to put them all together. However, the Ancient Processor doesn't fit quite right, so you'll need to study EVE's tech in her home to design a Universal Adapter.
Take pictures of the items in her house and then gather the right materials to craft the adapter.
With the Universal Adapter crafted, return to EVE and hand it over. Now she's ready to help connect to the ancient device in the ruins. Meet her there once everyone else is ready!
How To Unlock The Trap Door
Once everyone is ready, meet them in the Sunken Ruins. Talk to EVE, Gaston, and Rapunzel to send them to their corresponding chambers. The next step is to help them with their tasks to power the trap door and open it.
Help EVE
Talk to EVE in the North Chamber of the Ancient Ruins. She's having trouble connecting to the computer, so you'll need to find three Power Coils lodged in debris.
One is in the north chamber, one is in the center chamber between the North and East rooms, and the final one is by the entrance. Obtain all the Power Coils and place them in the slots on the wall in the North Chamber. Then step on the pressure plate in front of the coils.
Return to EVE to tell her that the console is all powered up. She'll leave the room to stand on the pressure plate by the trap door.
Help Gaston
To help Gaston, enter the West Chamber. He needs you to clear the debris off the pedestal, so use your Royal Pickaxe to get to work. Once it's clear, he'll step onto the pedestal, but nothing happens. Ask him if he needs anything else.
Clearly something is wrong. Take the Shiny LeFou from Gaston and place it on the smaller pedestal on the right side of the room. Then, go to the left side of the room and step onto the pressure plate.
With the West Chamber complete, Gaston will leave the room and stand on the pressure plate by the trap door.
Help Rapunzel
To help Rapunzel, enter the East Chamber of the Ancient Ruins. She needs to sing the right notes for the room to power up. Talk to her to learn that the puzzle is a duet and you need to use the buttons behind her to set the melody.
Facing her, turn left and use your Pickaxe to break the debris. Pick up the note lying on the ground to see what the melody looks like, then input the notes using the buttons.
When inputting the buttons, hit the first button twice, the second button five times, and the third button four times.
The first note should be on the fifth line of the staff, the second note should be between the third and the fourth lines, and the third note should be on the fourth line.
Don't worry if you mess up! Keep pressing the button until the note falls back to the bottom of the staff.
Once the notes are in the right place, activate the pressure plate on the left side of the room (where you found the note). Return to Rapunzel and she'll sing the notes.
With the East Chamber complete, Rapunzel will stand on the pressure plate by the trap door in the central chamber.
Follow The Rabbit
With the trap door powered up, step onto the final pressure plate to open it. Interact with the trap door to descend further into the Ancient Ruins.
Once there, you'll spot something moving quickly in the corner of your eye. Follow it through the ruins until you reach that main underground chamber.
There, you'll find the Spark of Imagination waiting for you, along with a potential new friend!
The quest concludes and the next quest, The Spark of Imagination, begins immediately.
