The first quest in Act II explores a new location.
In the second act of the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass, you'll be pursuing the Spark of Imagination to thwart Jafar's schemes. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, this means solving puzzles, gathering resources, and working together with Merlin and the other villagers to unlock the secrets of Eternity Isle.
The first quest in this act focuses on the Sunken Ruins and the secrets held inside. With the help of the great wizard, Merlin, you can use your Royal Tools to unlock the ruins and explore Eternity Isle further. Here's everything you need to know to continue the main story and get one step r to finding the Spark of Imagination!
How To Unlock The Sunken Ruins Quest
After completing the final quest in Act I, Your Eternal Reward, you can speak to Merlin in the Library about the Spark of Imagination. He'll tell you that the Ancient Ruins on Eternity Isle hold the Spark of Imagination, but those ruins have since sunken into the sea.
You'll need to use all the power in your Royal Hourglass to restore the entrance so you can actually enter the ruins. To do that, Merlin advises you to gather Flickers of the Spark's power. These Flickers can be found where villagers first arrive from Realms and in similar places.
He'll give you a few hints, but ultimately it's up to you to find all 11 Flickers in Dreamlight Valley and Eternity Isle.
Where To Find Flickers
There are 11 Flickers in total, and they are spread across the world. Equip your Royal Hourglass and head out to start looking for them in places where villagers first arrive.

If you don't find them right away, keep searching! You may find other items in between each Flicker.
Once you have all the Flickers in your inventory, bring them all to Merlin. He'll then assk you to follow him to the Sunken Ruins so you can use your power to rewind time and restore them.
Exploring The Sunken Ruins
Once the ruins are restored, enter them and talk to Merlin. He wants you to take pictures of each room so you can have a better look at them. There are three chambers that hold puzzles to solve:
- The West Chamber. A mysterious pedestal waits here.
- The East Chamber. A set of musical notes lingers here.
- The North Chamber. An ancient computer terminal remains dormant.
Bring the pictures to Merlin to discuss the next steps. He recognizes that these are tests that the Ancient Civilization must have left behind to protect the Spark of Imagination. You'll need the help of other villagers to complete these tests.
The next quest begins immediately and requires a bit of help from your friends, and branches off into three smaller quests.
