In Dragon's Dogma 2, earning the approval of a maister takes time and effort, and that's if you come across them in your travels. When you find them, you'll have to earn the right to learn their powerful magick and make it your own. Thankfully, we've done the work for you.
Finding Mage-Maister Eini is half the battle, but you'll have to do a lot of work to earn her approval. In fact, she won't even hint at who she is until after your work is done, so it's easy to miss the Celestial Paean spell altogether. With a little help, you can become a mage-Maister yourself!
Where To Find Eini's House
From the Borderwatch Outpost, head north west. You'll find the house near a campsite. When you enter, you'll encounter an older woman named Eini talking to her granddaughter, Trysha, about magick.
You won't be able to get the Celestial Paean spell from Eini yet, but you'll be able to help Trysha with something first. This is required to earn Eini's approval.
How To Complete Spellbound
To complete the Spellbound quest, you'll need to collect three to five grimoires for Trysha. Finding these grimoires is only part of the quest, as you'll have to decide whether you give her the real grimoires or the forged copies you can make.
You'll need to give Trysha a majority of real grimoires (i.e. two out of three total) for her to practice magick effectively. Come back in a few days to witness her losing control of her power.
Tell your pawns to wait before approaching Trysha or they may attack and kill her.
When she's vulnerable and has expended her stamina, tackle her. Eini will then take her inside and invite you to come back in a couple days. When you return, Trysha will be away and reward you with a new spell.
How To Unlock The Meteoron Spell
After saving Trysha and concluding the Spellbound quest, speak to Eini. She's grateful that you helped save her granddaughter and will reward you with the Enchanter's Almanac.
This will let you and your main pawn learn the Celestial Paean spell. Congrats on winning the Mage-Maister's approval!
