If only you had a key…
As you explore the world of Dragon's Dogma 2, you're likely to come across multiple locked doors and inaccessible areas. Some are easier to resolve than others, but there are plenty of ways to get where you need to go. Whether there's a key you can find or progress to be made, we've got you covered.
Nothing's more frustrating than a locked door when you're exploring, and not all of them are clearly identifiable. Some will have keys nearby and others will require specific quests to complete. Here's everything you need to know about opening locked doors in Dragon's Dogma 2.
How To Open Locked Doors With A Key
The most obvious way to unlock a locked door is to use a key. When prompted to open a door and unlock it, select the right key to open the door and walk right on through.
Some doors can only be unlocked during specific times of day.
Keys can be found or given as part of a quest. You can also make a forgery of a key to keep additional copies on hand. This will help you keep access to areas like the gaol, if you copy Brant's master key.
How To Open Locked Doors By Going Around
When in dungeons or out exploring, you may come across barred doors. To open these doors, you'll need to go around and break what's holding them d.
One example is in the Vaults below the slums. You'll find a metal door when you first enter, but you'll have to traverse the ruins yourself to reach the other side. From there, you can use a melee attack to break the wooden beam holding it shut.
Once it's broken, you have a shortcut for easy access to the vaults. There are plenty of other doors around Vermund and Battahl where you'll need to run around to open shortcuts.
How To Open Locked Doors By Progressing With A Quest
There are some doors that can only be accessed by progressing with a quest. For example, in the Nameless Village, you'll need to complete an obstacle course to unlock the door.
Once you do, the door remains open to you. If a door is locked and there's no key or beam barring it shut, try progressing with quests in the area to see if you open any new passageways.
