Rome wasn't built in a day, and the same can be said for Drug Dealer Simulator 2. Patience is key as you build your crime empire filled with drugs. You'll start your journey on a small, shabby island, working as a low-level dealer and gradually climbing the ranks.
Then, you'll expand your operations by meeting the crime lords of different regions across this archipelago and selling various types of drugs. It's fair to say that the game is quite complex at first, with many things to learn and do.
Always Act With A Plan And Schedule
It’s best to make this tip a habit as soon as possible. If you can’t stick to a schedule and plan, time will work against you, causing you to lose customers and suffer financial losses. A quick and simple example is to respond immediately to customers who call you and then set up appointments for five or six hours later.
Scheduling everyone around the same time allows you to make a single trip, minimizing fatigue. One hour before meeting your customers, prepare their drugs, create a specific route, and distribute them. Start with the farthest destination and work your way back to your base.
Dividing customers into two different time slots is a smart idea, but having more than two isn’t advisable.
Using map markers effectively will also increase your efficiency and help you keep track of tasks. For example, after completing your distribution, look at the marked notes next to places where you need to pick up drug supplies or gasoline, ensuring you visit these spots before ending your day.
Give Customers More Drugs Than They Need
At a certain point, you’ll become quite comfortable with specific types of drugs, as your production will increase and you’ll have plenty of stock. By giving your customers more drugs than they ask for, you can gain some advantages.
Therefore, carry more drugs than your customers request. For example, you can set aside 20 one-gram promotional packages. Additionally, carrying more drugs than demanded is also essential for finding new customers.
For instance, if a customer asks for three grams of marijuana, giving them four grams will increase both your reputation and demand. Especially if you have committed a burglary in the area and your reputation has dropped, one of the quickest ways to improve it is through drug promotions.
Be Cautious Of The Dangers On The Roads
As you explore new places and spend more time traveling, you will encounter dangerous individuals lying in ambush along the road. In the early stages of the game, these characters can catch you off guard, inflicting serious damage or even killing you. When you encounter them, they will demand money, and if you refuse, a fight will ensue.
If you prefer to avoid conflict, change your route immediately upon spotting them and take a detour around them. However, if you decide to respond to violence with violence, don't rely solely on your fists. It would be wise to carry a weapon, such as a crowbar. You can purchase a crowbar at the Mechanic shop north of Small Island.
Additionally, remember that weapons are not infinitely durable and will eventually become useless. Therefore, carrying an extra alternative weapon will ensure you maintain your advantage in fights.
Maximize Opportunities Through Looting
Dedicate daytime mostly to selling drugs and make sure not to sleep every night. Some nights, you can visit certain points of interest marked with a red icon on the map. These places are usually guarded during the day, making it impossible to enter, but at night, looting these locations can be valuable for resources, recipes, or other precious items.
Additionally, you can steal items that can heal you from the white-colored medical tents at night. However, remember that stealing and entering those red-marked buildings will decrease your reputation in the area, which can negatively impact your operations.
For example, if you force open a door and enter a place at night, your reputation will decrease even if you don't steal anything. Therefore, if you decide to break in, it's a good idea to take something before leaving. However, remember that every item you steal will reduce your reputation.
Utilize Vehicles Effectively
If you're always walking everywhere, you're making a mistake because some distances are considerable, and time works against you if you aim to earn significant money. Therefore, at least initially, use buses. Keep in mind that buses operate at specific intervals, and outside of their schedule, you'll have to use different vehicles by necessity.
Additionally, ensure you have multiple boats. At the beginning, the quality of boats doesn't matter much, but placing boats at strategic points on the island and using them on designated routes will save you time.
It may not be feasible to reach everywhere with just one boat, as some islands are quite large in terms of area, posing challenges in reaching them with a single boat. Moreover, if a boat's fuel is less than fifty percent, it's advisable to carry extra fuel with you.
Make Enviro Sense A Habit
Using Enviro Sense frequently in the early stages of the game will help you find items that can earn you small amounts of money, such as Amber and Palm Leaves. Later on, you won’t need to search for these items as much.
However, make sure to press the button for this ability often while exploring. It’s crucial to find dead drop spots for your dealers. If you’ve only found a few spots, walking to specific locations can be tiring, but having more options will make this less of a hassle. Additionally, using Enviro Sense can help you discover various mysterious objects in different places.
Increasing Shop Levels Provides Discounts And More Product Options
The shops you frequently visit will eventually level up, but doing this as soon as possible is beneficial and profitable. For example, if you need to buy water from a shop, it’s a good idea to purchase their entire stock, which will increase the shop's level bar. As you level up shops, you will receive discounts and the shop will offer more products and variations.
Continuing with the water example, the five-liter version of water becomes available at the general store on the northern island of Small Island once the shop’s level increases. Buying this larger size is more economical than purchasing smaller bottles.
Additionally, the NPC named Marcus at your initial shelter is also quite suitable for this beginner tip. If you raise his level to three, he will sell you Phenethylamine, which is necessary for making Amphetamine.
Finding Notice Boards Is Rewarding In Terms Of Gaining Workers
While Small Island doesn’t have any, most other islands have one or more notice boards. Searching for these is quite rewarding because interacting with certain notice boards can help you find people to join your drug operation. However, some notice boards might reward you with pets instead.
Additionally, setting up meetings with the drug lords of the regions and having good attire during these meetings can also help you gain extra workers.
Don't Always Rely On Natural Healing
One of the game's great aspects is that your character heals over time, but because this healing process isn't very fast, it isn't always a reliable method. For example, after jumping from a height, yes, you can wait to heal over time, but if you're about to get into a fight, this is risky.
In such cases, always make sure you have necessary health items with you and enhance your healing. When in a fight, keep away from thugs and quickly use healing items. Dying in the early parts of the game can be financially draining, but once you've developed your business, even if you die, the expenses won't significantly impact your economy.
