There are many dungeons in Dungeons Of Hinterberg, but some are more special than others. These dungeons tend to have more though required, as the bosses inside are not your typical monster. However, the rewards are well worth the effort, as there's nothing quite like defeating a formidable boss in a dungeon!
Hinterwald is home to many vibrant and colorful trees, so it stands to reason that the boss within Windsbraut's Treetop would reflect that. Defeating this big butterfly-esque enemy will take careful timing and quick thinking. We're here with the best strategy to defeat them so you can complete every dungeon!
Where To Find Windsbraut's Treetop
This boss is unavailable early in-game. You'll have to progress with the main story further so you can unlock the bridge that will lead you to it. After facing powerful monsters in your path, you can reach the massive tree stump the dungeon calls home.
To unlock the dungeon, however, you'll need to have completed four other dungeons in Hinterwald. This includes:
- The Mushroom Isles
- The Waterlily River
- The Overgrown Cave
- The Everchanging Grove
- The Bizarre Towers
Windsbraut's Treetop Puzzles
Since it's a boss dungeon, there aren't many puzzles inside. However, there are still a handful in order to reach the boss at the top of the tree. When you enter the dungeon, take the zipline to the next platform and face off against a handful of monsters.
From there, use your ranged magic to launch an exploding pod at the glowing eye. Move further on and climb onto the wooden elevator. Use the ranged magic again to hit the target and ascend.
To reach the next exploding pod, you'll need to use your whirlwind ability to pass through the netting and bring the exploding pods to the glowing eye. Once you clear your path, continue onward and upward.
How To Defeat Windsbraut
Windsbraut is hard to hit, as they fly around the arena and stay out of reach. To hit them, you'll want to make sure you have plenty of MP stored up. When you're ready, use your Whirlwind to lift yourself onto the platform with the horn and blow it.
Windsbraut will continuously attack you and summon more monsters, so stay vigilant!
Blowing the horn summons Windsbraut, who will send exploding pods in your direction. Use your ranged magic to pick up a pod and launch it at one of the four moving eyes on Windsbraut's wings.
You'll need to do this four times to hit each section of the wings.
Once Windsbraut's wings are broken, it will fall to the ground. Finish off the boss with your sword and any other lackeys that appear. Then, make your way to the top of the tree to collect your loot and stamp, then exit the dungeon.
