Find out how to unlock Squash’s Accessory Shop in your Eiyuden Chronicle castle, plus everything you can buy and when it becomes available.
Your castle in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is your all-inclusive base of operations. Recruiting additional characters to the cause will allow you to construct and gradually upgrade important facilities, such as a Gear Shop and Tool Shop. The Accessory Shop, which requires the parrot-like Squash, is another invaluable add-on.
We've compiled a full guide on everything Squash has to offer, how much it costs, and when he will add it to his growing stock of wares. Keep this page handy; it can not only save you trips to Accessory Shops abroad, but it'll net you some otherwise-unavailable rare pieces, too!
This guide is a work in progress . We will endeavor to keep it updated, of course. For now, it lists everything you can find at Squash's shop at the time of its construction, as well as after a single upgrade.
How To Recruit Squash
Bringing Squash into the fold means reaching Treefolk Village and succeeding at the Proving Grounds during Eiyuden Chronicle's main questline. This all happens not long after you get the castle, once the lovely Treefolk lad named Kallathor arrives.
At least in our experience, we didn't see Squash at Treefolk Village until after the party set out for Euchrisse. It might be worth checking sooner just in case we missed him, but upon returning to the town before reaching Euchrisse, Squash appeared to the right of the trade post.
It's worth waiting until Carrie is recruited, which unlocks fast travel , if you'd like to save yourself some time during this whole process.
In any case, Squash won't join until you acquire an item called a sparklestone. The sparklestone can be found at Dappled Forest in the Near [Castle Name] Region. Specifically, it's to the castle's southwest.
However, the phantombirds which occasionally drop the sparklestone after battle require you to be able to get past the guard near the entrance at the Dappled Forest. He won't let you past him until you arrive at the Euchrisse region.
Once you can pass him, wander this new portion of the Dappled Forest until you encounter the phantombirds. Keep at it until you get the sparklestone after the fight. Bring it to Squash, and voila. One parrot for the cause.

How To Upgrade The Accessory Shop
Before we get into the upgrades, know that in order to unlock the Accessory Shop, you'll need 1,600 Headquarters Funds.
You can't reach the Accessory Shop node at Iris' Drafting Studio until you've built the Armor Shop by recruiting Frida. You'll find Frida at Werne Village, outside and to the left near the entrance. She's the pink-haired gal. Just talk to her and she'll be recruited.
Frida herself won't appear in Werne until you've unlocked the castle. This makes sense, since she wouldn't exactly have a castle to report to in the first place, otherwise!
