Rody might not be the easiest character to recruit in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, especially if you’ve made certain decisions.
You might've come across various recruits on your journey to different villages and towns in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, but you'll never meet anyone quite as demanding as Rody. As a great Appraiser, he deals with treasure on a day-to-day basis, so you'll have to give him something extra special.
You'll find him fairly early on your adventures, and he'll ask you to get him a special item called the Pearl Pocket Watch. It can be quite difficult to get this item if you've made the terrible decision of selling it early on.
Where To Find Rody
Once you finish the story of Hishahn and win the main battle there, you'll set on an adventure with Bernard, who'll first take you to the Dabavin area. While the main story doesn't make you stay in this area for too long, it is the place where you'll find Rody.
After entering through the main bridge, keep going to the center until you find the stairs leading downward. Keep going down to the very bottom of the harbor and you'll find Rody as the Appraiser, and you can take the Pocket Watch quest by talking to him.
Where To Find Pearl Pocket Watch
Finding Rody is easy, but finding the Pearl Pocket-Watch for him is much more difficult. There are mainly two ways to get this watch. The first one is a permanent method by heading over to the Seaside Cavern in Euchrisse and opening a yellow chest in the starting area itself. You'll find this chest after entering the Cavern and going straight up for a bit.
However, this will likely be your first item that can be appraised. After getting appraised, its cost shoots up from 100 Baqua to 7,500, which makes it an extremely enticing sell. Like us, if you've also sold your Pearl Pocket-Watch, the second way to get it is what you'd want to look for.
If you're still fairly early in the game and haven't visited the Seaside Cavern, it's highly recommended to save this watch like some priceless treasure .
You'll get it as an Unknown Pocket-Watch before getting it appraised.
For the second and the more luck-dependent method, you'll have to head over to the Great Sandy Sea. The only way to unlock this sea is by talking to Quinn in Impershi'arc and starting her quest to the Den of the Dunes. As you use your Shi'arcraft to go around the sandy sea, you'll randomly trigger battles.
One of these battles will contain a silver chest with a couple of Sandfish as enemies. You'll get the pocket watch after opening this chest, but make sure you do it before defeating the enemies. You can then take this watch and recruit your own Appraiser for the castle.
