The Prayer Room Key is an essential item needed to complete Fire Knight Queelign’s quest in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Fire Knight Queelign is an NPC who invades you a couple of times as you progress through the Land of Shadow. These invasions are a part of a small quest with some lucrative rewards at the end.
Obtaining the Prayer Room Key is simple: all you need to do is to complete both the invasions by Fire Knight Queelign. However, using the key can be a little confusing, especially if you have not done a lot of exploration.
How To Get The Prayer Room Key
The first thing you will need to do is to actually get the
Prayer Room Key . This requires you to kill Fire Knight Queelign in two separate invasions.
First Invasion
You will initially encounter Queelign in Belurat Tower Settlement. From the ‘Small Private Altar’ Sight of Grace, head up the stairs to come across a Horned Warrior.
Once killed, turn right again to reach a large courtyard with a tree in the center. This is where Fire Knight Queelign will invade you for the first time.
Second Invasion
The second invasion occurs in the Church of the Crusade in Scadu Atlus. The building is marked by a cross on the map, towards the northwest side of the ‘Highroad Cross’ Sight of Grace.
Immediately after entering the building, Fire Knight Queelign will invade. You will get the Prayer Room Key and
Ash of War: Flame Skewer for killing him.
Where To Use The Prayer Room Key
Once you have the Prayer Room Key, you will need to travel to the Church District on the eastern side of Shadow Keep.
The easiest way to get there is through the Moorth Ruins. Continue to travel south-east to reach Bonny Village and keep on following the trail past a couple of wooden bridges to eventually reach Shadow Keep: Church District.
From the ‘Church District Entrance’ Sight of Grace, jump forward onto a rooftop and continue along the path to jump onto a ledge with a broken section filled with water.
Jump to your right and onto a large rooftop where you will need to deal with a Messmer Knight. From there, you should be able to jump on some columns leading to a large rooftop in the middle of the area.
There are a few ignited enemies on the rooftops that can easily throw you off the ledges if you are not careful. Try to deal with them using ranged weapons.
You need to jump down onto the crossed beams from the rooftop and use the Prayer Room Key to open the door on the right side.
Inside, you will find Fire Knight Queelign praying to Queen Marika. At this point, you have a few choices to make:
- You can give him the Iris of Grace to get the
Fire Knight Queelign .
- You can give him the Iris of Occultation to get the
Queelign’s Greatsword .
- You can also leave him be, and he will stay in the Prayer Room until you decide to do something.
