Elden Ring legend Let Me Solo Her has claimed people are being "too harsh" on Shadow of the Erdtree's difficulty, claiming that players just need to use "everything at your disposal" to make fights easier.
Over the past few days, there have been plenty of discussions surrounding Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree's difficulty, after the game was very lightly review bombed on Steam. FromSoftware managed to address some concerns by buffing Scadutree Fragments, making the earlier portion of the DLC somewhat easier, but the idea that Shadow of the Erdtree could be "too difficult" has remained.
While it's a topic of debate very much reliant on personal preference, as our reviewer relished Shadow of the Erdtree's challenge, several high-profile individuals connected to the title have explained that it's much easier if you use all the tools the game gives you. Elden Ring creator Hidetaka Miyazaki recently explained that he "sucks at video games" and uses all the tools he can to get through, and now Elden Ring legend Let Me Solo Her is essentially telling players to do the same.
Elden Ring's Let Me Solo Her Doesn't Think Shadow Of The Erdtree Is Too Hard
In an interview with GamesRadar earlier this week, Let Me Solo Her explained that he thinks players are being "too harsh" on Shadow of the Erdtree's difficulty at the moment, even if he does think it's one of the hardest things FromSoftware has ever made. He then goes on to say that we should wait a couple of months for things to settle down to truly determine where Shadow of the Erdtree lands on the difficulty scale, and urges anyone struggling to use all the tools the game provides.
"This is the DLC, which means there is some expectation that the player has most, if not all the base game has to offer. Use summons, explore to gather more Scadutree blessings, anything to make the fight easier for you."
Given that this is the person that has made besting the hardest boss in the base game a part-time hobby (and is now doing the same in Shadow of the Erdtree), you'd do well to heed his advice. If you're struggling with the game's early bosses and need a helping hand, put your pride to the side and grab your Mimic or get another player to help. There's nothing wrong with engaging in a bit of jolly cooperation.
