If you're playing through the Skies of Azoria DLC for Fae Farm, it's not long into the new content before you meet Gusto, a large owl who's in charge of the weather and lives up in the new realm of Skyvale. Throughout the new content, you'll be helping them in a myriad of ways, largely gathering Fallen Stars.
But Gusto won't let you head back down to Azoria without a proper thank you, opening their shop to you and making available an assortment of unique perks. You'll need some resources from the affected region, but the price is worth it!
Progress Through The Skies Of Azoria DLC To Unlock New Perks
The Skies of Azoria DLC begins when you receive a mysterious letter from someone named Kestrel, pleading with you to plant the magic beans they've included in the letter and ascend to Skyvale, the three-area region added in the DLC. After you plant the magic beans you're given and tend to them until they grow into a Beanstalk, you'll venture up to Skyvale.
Kestrel sends you on a short quest, during which you're introduced to Gusto, the deity of weather in Skyvale who needs help remembering their purpose. To do this, you'll need to not only grow each of the six Skyvale crops back down on one of your farms in Azoria to progress, but you'll collect an increasing number of Fallen Stars from the Star Vault portals you've seen around the island.
While you'll begin this journey in Windhaven, the area above Azoria proper, Gusto moves with the story, meeting you in Windhaven, moving to the Starlight Isles once you've unlocked the area above the Fae Realm, and he'll finally show up in Howling Heights over the mountain region. Once you've finished the story, though, Gusto settles in Windhaven once each DLC mission is complete.
After each section of the DLC, you'll unlock a new set of perks in Gusto's shop once you've helped them out in that particular region. As a reward, Gusto can use weather-based magic to help you out in the world below in a number of ways that boost your abilty to progress plenty of skills, such as providing more opportunities for Logging or an extra few harvests when you're out Foraging.
It's important to keep in mind, though, that Gusto needs time to recharge each skill between uses, which will typically be between three and five days. This is to prevent you from buying the same perk too many times in a row.
That said, if something you're trying to pay for is going to happen naturally overnight, the game will not let you purchase this upgrade to spare you the resource cost.
