Weild the elements by finding all of the bending scrolls in Fortnite with this guide to each location.
The Elements event in Fortnite: Chapter 5 Season 2 has brought four different bending scrolls from the famous animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender into the battle royale game mode. Each of these scrolls is a mythic item and allows you to control one of the four elements, just like a bender in the television show.
Alongside the addition of these Bending Scrolls are Bending Shrines, or temples scattered throughout the map, which offer a specific elemental scroll in a Bending Container. If you want to find the location of your favorite elements or wield four scrolls at once like the Avatar, then check out the tips below.
Although each Bending Shrine offers a guaranteed method of obtaining a specific Bending Scroll, these mythic items will still spawn in both regular and Olympic chests, and on the floor randomly across the map.
Where To Find The Waterbending Shrines And Containers
The Waterbending Shrines are made out of light blue ice, feature a large water symbol on the second level of the shrine, and are located in the colder locations of the map.
Inside each of these shrines is a Waterbending Scroll Container, which will drop two Waterbending Scrolls on the ground if you interact with the container.
The two Waterbending Shrines are located in the upper right-hand corner of the map, with one shrine to the left of Classy Courts, just where the snow begins to melt. The other Waterbending Shrine is located beneath Grand Glacier, at the base of one of the mountains.
While wielding a Waterbending Scroll, you will have access to the following abilities:
- Launch ice projectiles to damage your enemies.
- Regenerate health slowly while in water.
- Move faster while swimming.
Where To Find The Earthbending Shrines And Containers
Earthbending Shrines are made out of dark wood with vibrant green accents and prominently display an Earth symbol on top of the shrine. The Earthbending Shrines are located in central locations around the map, making them slightly easier to find than other elements.
At the center of each Earthbending Shrine is an Earthbending Scroll Container, which will bestow two Earthbending Scrolls when interacted with. There is one Earthbending Shrine located on the small island in the lake at the center of the map and another Earthbending Shrine to the left of Pleasant Piazza.
While wielding an Earthbending Scroll, you will have access to the following abilities:
- Launch large chunks of earth at your enemies.
- Create barriers of earth that will protect you from gunfire.
Where To Find The Firebending Shrines And Containers
The Firebending Shrines are red and gold, and showcase a golden fire symbol at the front of the temple. These two shrines are both very to their respective POIs, making them a good location to land at for both Bending Scrolls and other weapons.
Interacting with the Firebending Scroll Containers in the center of each Shrine will drop two Firebending Scrolls for you to use. Specifically, the first Firebending Shrine is located above Rebel's Roost, while the other shrine is just to the right of Snooty Steppes.
While wielding a Firebending Scroll, you will have access to the following abilities:
- Attack your opponents with -range fire blasts.
- Launch into the air and slam down with a powerful fire kick that deals AOE damage.
Where To Find The Airbending Shrines And Containers
Airbending Shrines feature a pale blue and gold exterior and prominently display a golden air symbol made up of three swirls. Since Airbenders typically live in large temples atop dangerous peaks, both of these shrines are located in the more mountainous regions of the map.
If you interact with the Airbending Scroll Container in the Airbending Shrine, you will gain access to two AIrbending Scrolls that can be used to quickly traverse the map.
The first Airbending Shrine is north of Grand Glacieratop a large mountain, while the second is just above Brawler's Battleground where you fight the Ares boss.
While wielding an Airbending Scroll, you will have access to the following abilities:
- Ride an air wheel to traverse the map, which can be boosted to move even faster for a short period.
- Use an air jump to launch yourself up great heights or dodge attacks.
Since Airbenders are canonically pacifists, the Airbending Scroll is the only Bending Scroll that does not allow you to deal damage to opponents. Instead, this Bending Scroll is strictly focused on traversal.
