If you've been playing Genshin Impact for a while, you probably already know that there are quite a few reactions that aren't the best for the endgame content. When Dendro was officially released in the game, Burning was one such reaction since it didn't bring a lot to the table.
Thankfully, character releases like Emilie during the Version 4.8 update indirectly buff reactions like these. Emilie is a five-star Dendro character who relies on the nearby opponents being Burned for dealing the highest damage.
Best Emilie Build
Artifact Sets |
Lumidouce Elegy, Calamity Queller, Primordial Jade Winged Spear, Ballad of the Fjords, Blackcliff Pole |
---|---|
Weapons |
Unfinished Reverie, Deepwood Memories |
Whenever a new character gets released in Genshin Impact, you usually get a choice between at least two builds on them, even though one build is significantly better than the other. Unfortunately, if you want to make Emilie viable in the endgame combat, you only have one choice of build that boosts her damage significantly.
For this build, you can use the Unfinished Reverie set as it not only gives you 18 percent ATK, but also a constant 50 percent DMG increase as long as you're around opponents with the Burning effect. This is a staggering boost to have at all times in battle, but you can also use Deepwood Memories as a decent alternative.
Deepwood Memories can reduce the opponent's Dendro RES by 30 percent whenever they get hit by Emilie's Skill or Burst.
In an ideal situation, you'd want Emilie with the Unfinished Reverie set while one of your supports uses the Deepwood Memories set. As long as the support can deal damage to the opponents using their Skill or Burst, you can enjoy both the 50 percent DMG bonus and 30 percent RES shred on Emilie.
As for the weapon, it's no surprise that Emilie's signature Polearm fits her the best as it can give her ATK, DMG, and Energy all at the same time. However, you can use any other weapons mentioned above with Ballad of the Fjords being a great four-star choice as it not only gives her Crit Rate, but also increases her Elemental Mastery for more Burning DMG.
Emilie Artifact Stat Priority
Once you figure out the artifact set you want to use on Emilie, the next step is to work on getting proper stats on each artifact. This can be quite difficult since Emilie needs some specific stats:
Type |
Main Stat Priority |
Sub Stat Priority |
---|---|---|
Flower |
HP |
Crit DMG/Rate > ATK Percent > Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery |
Feather |
ATK |
Crit DMG/Rate > ATK Percent > Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery |
Sands |
ATK Percent |
Crit DMG/Rate > Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery |
Goblet |
Dendro DMG Bonus |
Crit DMG/Rate > ATK Percent > Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery |
Circlet |
Crit Rate > Crit DMG |
Crit DMG/Rate > ATK Percent > Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery |
You likely don't need any Energy Recharge on Emilie if you're using her signature weapon.
Moreover, if you're using a weapon with Crit Rate as the main stat , you can think of going for Crit DMG as the main stat on the circlet.
Emilie Talent Priority
Emilie is arguably one of the easiest characters to understand in Genshin Impact. Her Skill produces a turret-type entity on the field called the Lumidouce Case. This initially deals AoE Dendro DMG and then single-target damage at regular intervals, and it can be upgraded to level two if there are Burning opponents nearby.
Once your Case is on level two, you can deal AoE Dendro DMG every now and then after you get stacks from nearby Burning opponents, and she also deals extra damage to these opponents. Finally, her Burst creates a special level three Lumidouce Case that attacks much faster and deals significantly higher damage.
You can't upgrade the level three case in Emilie's Burst, and your old Case will return to the field once the Burst duration ends.
Ideally, you'd want to have a Lumidouce Case near the enemies at all times during battle. Moreover, upgrading Emilie's Elemental Skill is the first priority since this will deal most of the regular damage. You can follow this up with her Burst and there's no need to upgrade her Basic Attack unless you have her on Constellation Six.
