Here’s how you can find Nilotpala Lotus in Genshin Impact!
Genshin Impact's various characters require a lot of different materials to level them up. These materials can be found scattered all throughout the map, and some are easier to find than others. Nilotpala Lotus are a kind of flower found in Sumeru and are primarily used for ascending the characters Tighnari and Layla.
Nilotpala Lotus can be found in areas around Sumeru City, the Palace of Alcazarzaray, Varanara, and Devantaka Mountain. The easiest way to find them is by following the rivers and waterfalls. If you need to find lots of Nilotpala Lotus quickly, here are the best places and routes to find them
What Are Nilotpala Lotus?
Nilotpala Lotus are a kind of flower found in the waters of Sumeru. They are used to ascend certain characters and to create Dendroculus Resonance Stones, which you can use to help locate Dendroculus.
Nilotpala Lotus Locations
Nilotpala Lotus can be found in the waters of Sumeru, especially north of Sumeru City and in Devantaka Mountain. In the map above, the clover icons show where you can find them.
If you have Tighnari, add him to your party, as his Passive Skill allows him to locate plants unique to Sumeru, including Nilotpala Lotus. This ability is active at every level, so you can add him to your team whether he is built or not.
Waters North of Sumeru City And The Palace of Alcazarzaray
You can find the most Nilotpala Lotus in the waterways north of Sumeru City and around the Palace of Alcazarzaray, and the easiest way to locate them all is by following the river and picking up all the Nilotpala Lotus you find along the way. They will all be located along the edges of the water, so you should be able to easily find them all.
There are some waterfalls along this route, but you'll be able to clear them using the nearby Four-Leaf Sigils to teleport to the top of them. There may be some points on this route where the Four-Leaf Sigils haven't appeared yet for you, so look around for any puzzles next to the waterfall.
Most of these puzzles will involve you needing to use Dendro, so have a character in your party who can easily apply Dendro like Dendro Traveller, Collei, Tighnari, or Nahida.
Make sure to check behind the Palace of Alcazarzaray because there will be some Nilotpala Lotus hiding in the shallow waters behind it.
Chinvat Ravine Nilopala Lotus Locations
These Nilotpala Lotus are found in the waters southeast of Sumeru City in an area marked Chinvat Ravine. The Nilotpala Lotus can be found along the river heading towards Gandharva Ville.
The majority of them can be found in the ravine near the large waterfall. If you're really in a pinch and need as many Lotus as you can quickly, there are also a couple of Lotus located in a small pond north of Gandharva Ville.
In this area, there are a lot of Fungi nearby, so be careful if you don't feel fully prepared for a fight. A lot of Sumeru characters (including Tighnari) use their spores as level-up materials, so now is a good chance to grab some.
Vanarana Nilotpala Lotus Locations
There are a few Nilotpala Lotus located in the main waterway of Vanarana in western Sumeru; if you can teleport to the northmost Waypoint in Vanarana, we recommend that you start there. If you start from the bottom, you will have to climb several cliffs and waterfalls to get all the Nilotpala Lotus, so it's quite literally an uphill battle.
Also, you will be able to find some Kalpalata Lotus on the cliff sides along this route. These flowers are also character ascension material, but they can be pretty hard to find, so consider picking some up while you're looking for Nilotpala Lotus.
If you have not done the Aranara questline, you may not be able to access certain parts of this area.
Pardis Dhyai Nilotpala Lotus Locations
There are only a few Nilotpala Lotus located in this area, but they're pretty easy to find. To pick them up, teleport to Pardis Dhyai and head west, where you will find a small pond with Nilotpala Lotus growing in it.
There are also lots of Fungi hanging around this pond, so if you need to harvest some Fungal Spores to ascend your characters, here's a good chance for you to grab some.
Southern Sumeru And Around Vimara Village Nilotpala Lotus Locations
The waterways of southern Sumeru between Vimara Village and Port Ormos are where you will find a large bulk of Nilotpala Lotus. A lot of them are also found in Devantaka Mountain. If you're pressed for time and want to gather Nilotpala Lotus quickly, take this route.
The waters are pretty deep in this part of the map though. Thankfully, there is a Waverider point in Vimara Village, so if you start there, you'll be able to take the Waverider down the river, picking up Nilotpala Lotus along the way.
To reach the water in Devantaka Mountain, start from the cliff and glide down to the gorge. The water here is pretty shallow and easy to navigate, so you'll have no trouble walking around and picking up Nilotpala Lotus.
Characters Who Use Nilotpala Lotus
The following characters use Nilotpala Lotus as their character ascension materials:
- Tighnari
- Layla
To fully ascend them, you will need a total of 168 Nilotpala Lotus.
Using Nilotpala Lotus To Create Dendroculus Resonance Stones
Dendroculus Resonance Stones are devices used to help track Dendroculus over a certain area. They can be crafted at the Alchemy table.
To create a Dendroculus Resonance Stone, you first need to obtain the blueprint for it by reaching Reputation Level Eight in Sumeru. Once you have obtained the blueprint, you will need the following materials to make it:
- Five Nilotpala Lotus
- Five Rukkhashava Mushrooms
- OneCrystal Chunk
Crystal Chunks can be found throughout Teyvat and Rukkhashava Mushrooms can be found in Mawtiyima Forest in north-eastern Sumeru.
