Moon Dust is a crucial component to Arcana upgrades in Hades 2.
As you make progress in Hades 2, you'll start coming across more and more reagents with which to cast incantations and upgrade your various weapons and tools. One very important reagent is Moon Dust, which is used to upgrade possibly the most important resource at your disposal: the all-powerful Arcana cards that provide Melinoe with significant upgrades.
Of course, obtaining enough Moon Dust to be able to upgrade your cards is no mean feat, and while there is a multitude of sources of the stuff, it'll be quite an investment of effort to grab it in the amounts you need.
How To Get Moon Dust
The first thing you'll need to do to acquire Moon Dust is to unlock the stuff! To do this, you'll need to unlock the ability to upgrade your Arcana cards. This requires you to cast the Consecration of Ashes incantation, which will provide you with three Moon Dust for free!
Once you've cast this incantation, numerous methods to obtain more Moon Dust will start to appear for you, based on your story progression and what other incantations you have cast:
- The two Moonlit Essence alchemy recipes allow you to turn other reagents into Moon Dust.
- One requires Cinder and Shadow, which is available from another alchemy recipe.
- The other requires Star Dust, which is obtained from the Pitch-Black Stone's challenge runs once unlocked.
- Moon Dust can be purchased from the Wretched Broker for 80 Bones.
- Some Fated List rewards include Moon Dust.
Star Dust can also be purchased from the Wretched Broker , but if your intention is to turn it into Moon Dust, it's far more efficient to simply purchase the Moon Dust outright.
