Broken Sword — Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is a remaster of the original 1996 point-and-click classic (known as Circle of Blood in America). It’s been lovingly remastered and tidied up to include new graphics, cleaned up audio lines, fixed a small plot hole or two, and even has some extra, unheard-before lines that were never used from the ’90s.
It’s time to unravel the mystery of the café bombing and go on the trail of the Templar Knights. If you’re wondering exactly how long this adventure with George and Nico will take you, then don’t worry, we’ve got a breakdown right here.
How Long Does It Take To Complete?
If you know exactly what you’re doing, or using our handy complete walkthrough, you can smash through the game in about five or six hours, based on my own speedy playthrough.
However, where’s the fun in that? To fully explore and soak in all the sights and comedy, the average playthrough will likely take you about ten hours to take into account red herrings and getting stuck on certain puzzles.
How Long Does It Take To 100 Percent?
If you’re looking to mop up every trophy and achievement from Reforged, it means dabbling in a lot of optional conversations on top of the mandatory solutions to progress. You’ll also sometimes need to choose specific responses in certain conversations to unlock others. Overall, you’re probably looking at 12+ hours for an average completionist playthrough.
The good news is that if you miss any, once you complete the game you unlock Chapter Select and so you can go back and figure out the ones you are missing.
