Here’s how to stream your entire Steam library to your Steam Deck using Remote Play.
The Steam Deck opens up a whole new world of gaming possibilities. Playing the majority of your Steam library from the comfort of your couch or bed is a great way to discover new games or play through your old favorites.
The Steam Deck is a powerful handheld, but it can't do everything. Certain games don't run well on SteamOS, and sometimes the Steam Deck simply isn't powerful enough to run the game you want to play. Luckily, there's a simple solution to these problems. Through the power of streaming, you can enjoy every PC game you can imagine, right on your Steam Deck.
How To Stream To A Steam Deck Using Steam Remote Play
To stream any game in your Steam library to your Steam Deck, you'll first need to make sure it's installed on your PC. Also, you'll want to make sure you're signed into the same Steam account on your PC and Deck.
Now, on your Deck, find the game in your library. Here, select the drop down arrow and choose your Desktop, which could be named any number of things.
After that, simply select Stream and the game will open on your PC, then stream it to your Steam Deck. That's all there is to it!
How To Change Remote Play Settings
Game streaming is not perfect, and sometimes you can get low image quality, input lag, or a number of other issues while streaming a game. If you're having problems, you may want to check out the Remote Play settings on Steam.
In the Steam settings menu on your PC, scroll down to Remote Play. Toggle on Advanced Host Options and Advanced Client Options, and you can change a number of settings. You can change things like enabling dynamic resolution, video and audio quality, and more. Try tinkering around here to find a set of settings that works best for you.
