Satoru Gojo is one of the most powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, being feared and respected in an equal manner by everyone within the Sorcerer community. He alone is keeping many forces at bay just by existing, and all those factions are always hatching plans to get him out of their way.
One of those plans does eventually work, and Gojo ends up trapped in a pocket dimension unable to escape. Since it can be hard to know how time passes in any given show, many fans are wondering for how long this mighty character was trapped.

How Was Gojo Sealed?
The goal of the entire Shibuya Incident was to seal Satoru Gojo inside the Prison Realm, a small cube full of eyes that could trap anyone inside of it. For someone to be sealed inside of it, the small cube needs to be opened with a command word, and the target needs to stay in front of it for about a minute.
While opening the cube isn’t a problem, keeping Gojo in one place for that long is, but the mastermind behind the Shibuya Incident, Kenjaku, had a plan. He would use the body of Suguru Geto, Gojo’s old friend, to surprise Gojo for just long enough, so the Prison Realm had time to activate.
How Long Was Gojo Sealed?
Gojo was sealed in the Prison Realm during the Shibuya Incident, which all happened on October 31, 2018. He was released at the end of the Culling Game, which ended on November 18 of the same year, meaning that Gojo was sealed for about 19 days.
Time didn’t really pass for Gojo during that time, so from his perspective, he could have been trapped for a minute or for 1,000 years, and it wouldn’t have made a difference. He used his Cursed Technique to avoid going mad inside the Prison Realm, meaning that anyone else trapped in it might not have survived those 19 days.
