The King’s Road is an integral part of trades, land claims, and combat in Manor Lords. Here’s how you can connect your settlement to it.
Manor Lords features some pretty realistic mechanics and intricate economic simulations, giving players the chance to build settlements that reflect medieval life. Even though you start out with a small village and a handful of resources, you can strategically expand your territory to build a prosperous and powerful domain.
When you first load into a new game, you’ll see that a pre-existing road runs through every single territory on the map. This is the King’s Road, which connects all eight regions in Manor Lords and facilitates trading. If you’re wondering how you can connect your village to the King’s Road, read on.
How To Connect To The King’s Road
The King’s Road is a starter road winding through your newly settled territory. It is the only way you can engage in trade with other regions and import goods you can’t produce yourself.
To track down the King’s Road, you’ll need to navigate to the edge of the player-controlled area and look for a large, unbroken road that leads into your territory. Alternatively, you can zoom out of the region map and center the camera on the black lines to find the King’s Road.
The King’s Road cannot be edited or removed, and you cannot tamper with it in any way.
Once you’ve located the King’s Road, you can either start building off of it or connect it to your settlement by creating a new road that links to any of its sections. To do this, simply use the roads tool at the bottom of the screen and drag your mouse around to build a new road. Roads are free to build and destroy.
After you’ve connected the King’s Road to your settlement, you can build a Trading Post and/or Livestock Trading Post to it and create Trade Routes. All Traveling Merchants use the King’s Road for their monthly trade.
You may receive a notification stating that your Trading Post has been disconnected from King’s Road even after you’ve linked them. To overcome this bug, simply redraw your roads.
